The book-sorting puzzle in Librarian: Tidy Up the Arcane Library is among the most difficult challenges. Each book has to go on a particular shelf, and it can take up a lot of time to check each floor repeatedly.
A fan-created The Arcane Library Helper easily solves this issue. Rather than searching the whole library, you can look up a book instantly and see the exact floor and shelf where they belong.
What Is the Arcane Library Helper?
The Arcane Library Helper is an unofficial browser-based lookup tool that has been created for the Arcane Library book-sorting puzzle.
All you have to do is type part of the book’s title, subject, or some other keyword. After that, the tool will immediately locate the book and display the exact position where it belongs.
It also highlights the correct shelf on a floor map, so you can spot the location much faster inside the library.

What the Helper Can Do
The tool includes several useful features:
- Search using a partial book title.
- Look up items by subject or keyword.
- Show the correct floor.
- Show the exact shelf for the selected book.
- Highlight the shelf on a floor plan for quick reference.
The highlighted map removes most of the guesswork, particularly in the case where several shelves appear similar.
Runs Directly in Your Browser
You do not need to install anything before using the helper.
The tool is a simple HTML webpage that runs completely inside your browser. The best part is that it does not modify Librarian: Tidy Up the Arcane Library, save your progress, or connect to your game.
The creator also confirms that the website does not collect user data.

Why the Tool Was Created
The creator originally built the helper for himself while sorting books in the Arcane Library.
When another player saw it and said that it could be useful to others, the creator then decided to make it available to everybody.
The website is still an unofficial fan initiative and can only be used as a quick reference tool, without altering the game files or the gameplay systems.
Community Response
Many players have responded to the helper in a very positive way.
Many comments have praised the website for making the library puzzle much easier to manage. Several users are saying that it is well-made and thanking the creator for providing it.
Another member of the community requested permission to use the floor maps in an Archipelago visual tracker. This tracker is intended to indicate which books can currently be shelved during multiplayer randomizer sessions while giving credit to the original creator of the maps.
