The Secret Ending in Servant of the Lake can only be reached when you’ve completed the normal ending. You cannot reach it during your first normal playthrough because the first clue only appears after you finish the final task: The Departure.
The good news is that the secret ending is also tied to the “You’ve found him!” achievement. So, if you follow the steps below, you can unlock both the secret ending and the final achievement. How To Reach The Secret Ending in Servant of the Lake?
To unlock the hidden ending, you’ll have to revisit several chapters, solve the clues in the correct order, and find a hidden room in the cellar.
Step 1: Finish the Game
First and foremost, complete all the tasks and finish Day 3 – The Departure.
After the ending and credits, select Continue. You will find a new note.
After reading the note, you’ll find that this letter is from Kate, and she needs your help to find her brother, who disappeared a year ago.
At the end of the note, you’ll find your first clue: “The crow awakens at five past four.”
By reading the clue, you should know what you have to do if you remember your first interaction with Mr. Aldous. The clue points you toward a specific time in Day 1 – Waking Up Aldous.
Step 2: Set the Clock to 4:05
Go to:
Day 1 → Morning → Waking Up Aldous
First, get the clock hand from the toy soldier and use it to complete the clock on the furniture near the window.
Now the important clue says:
“The crow awakes at five past four.”
Set the clock to: 4:05
Once done, you’ll get another letter. It says:
“Today, Mrs. Alexandra summoned me to the bathroom. I thought she needed my help. Instead, while she was soaking in the bathtub, she ordered me to open her suitcase. I was shocked to find a severed hand inside! What is wrong with this woman?”
This note clearly mentions that something is unusual in the bathroom, and you’ve to figure it out.
Step 3: Solve the Bathroom Tiles
Go to:
Day 2 → Evening → Helping with Bathing
Look at the tiles above the bathroom.
Now you have to select the matching icons in the correct order.
Select:
- Alexandra
- Bathtub
- Suitcase
- Hand
Once done, you’ll get another note and your next clue.
Step 4: Solve the Wooden Box Maze
Go to:
Day 3 → Morning → Assisting in Alchemy
Look at the floor and find the wooden box with two arrows.
The note from the previous step shows a maze. You need to follow the path from the center to the exit and enter those directions into the box.
Use this exact sequence:
→ → → ← → ← → → ←
The box will open and give you the next clue.
Step 5: Solve the Constellation Puzzle
Go to:
Day 1 → Night → Searching the Attic
Search for the silver box on the floor. It asks you to create three constellations representing a castle, moon, and water.
Now you don’t have to move the clouds left or right for this puzzle.
Instead, check the note you received from the maze puzzle. Connect the related symbols on the paper.
Set the stars from left to right to:
4 → 2 → 3
Once the solution is correct, you will receive the next note.
Step 6: Solve the Wine Box
Go to:
Day 3 → Evening → Dressing Up for Dinner
Enter the cellar and find the unopened wine box.
Check the note you received from the constellation puzzle. It contains a drawing that shows how the lines on the wine box should be arranged.
Copy the lines onto the box.
Pay close attention to the thicker lines. A thick line represents two normal lines overlapping each other, so do not treat it as a single line.
Once done, you’ll get another note.
Step 7: Open the Secret Room
Stay in:
Day 3 → Evening → Dressing Up for Dinner
Now you have to place the wine bottles in the cellar. The bottles should be placed on the required symbols to find the next clue.
- Bronze Wine Bottle (असुर) – 𖦹
- Silver Wine Bottle (मानुष) – S
- Gold Wine Bottle (देव) – Triangle with a horizontal line through it.
Once you place the wine bottles in their correct position, one of the barrels will open. Now crawl through the open barrel and go inside the secret room.
Step 8: Find the Secret Room Code
Inside the hidden room, look at the shelf.
You will see a red cloth. Shake it to find another note.
This note contains clues for the locked box on the shelf.
This box requires 4 digits to open, and you have to find all the codes. The individual numbers are connected to clues found in earlier chapters.

Here is the lock code: 6294
After entering the code, the box will open, and you’ll find a telescope.
Step 9: Look Through the Telescope
Take the telescope from the box and leave the room.
Return to the cellar and go back upstairs.
Now go to the window next to the Dining Room.
Open the window and use the telescope.
Look at the mansion carefully. Focus on the window, and you’ll see a shadow.
That’s it. You’ve found him!
This will trigger the Secret Ending and unlock the final achievement:
