STAR WARS Zero Company™ has many visual effects that can ruin your gameplay experience. Motion blur is one of them, especially when you are moving the camera or quickly looking around the battlefield. Instead of getting a clean and sharp image, you’ll find that the screen has become blurry during movement.
The frustrating part is that you won’t find any options to disable this in the game’s settings. If you have been looking through the graphics menu trying to find a way to turn off motion blur, you won’t find any option to turn it off.
Fortunately, you can disable motion blur and a few other effects manually by changing a file in the game’s configuration folder. You don’t have to install any mod or third-party software for this. All you have to do is open the GameUserSettings.ini file and change a few values.
In this guide, I’ll show you exactly where to find the file and which settings you have to change. You can disable motion blur, screen shake, film grain, and chromatic aberration using the same method.
So, if you want a cleaner and sharper image while playing STAR WARS Zero Company™, here’s what you need to do.
How to Disable Motion Blur in STAR WARS Zero Company™
To disable motion blur, you need to edit the game’s GameUserSettings.ini configuration file.
Follow the steps below.
Step 1: Open the Configuration Folder
First, open File Explorer on your PC.
Go to the following location:
C:\Users\(YOUR USER)\AppData\Local\SWZeroCompany\Saved\Config\Windows
Replace (YOUR USER) with your Windows username.
You can also use a much easier method.
Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog, then paste:
%localappdata%\SWZeroCompany\Saved\Config\Windows
Press Enter.
This will take you directly to the game’s configuration folder.
Step 2: Open GameUserSettings.ini
Inside the Windows folder, look for:
GameUserSettings.ini
Open the file with Notepad or another text editor.
Step 3: Find the Visual Effect Settings
Inside GameUserSettings.ini, look for these settings:
bScreenShakeEnabled=True
bFilmGrainEnabled=True
bChromaticAberrationEnabled=True
bMotionBlurEnabled=True
These settings control different visual effects in the game.
Step 4: Change True to False
To disable the effects, simply change True to False.
Your settings should look like this:
bScreenShakeEnabled=False
bFilmGrainEnabled=False
bChromaticAberrationEnabled=False
bMotionBlurEnabled=False
You don’t need to change anything else in the file.
Save the GameUserSettings.ini file and launch STAR WARS Zero Company™ again.
The selected effects will now be disabled.
What Do These Settings Do?
If you only want to remove motion blur, you don’t have to change all four settings.
Here’s what each option controls:

Can’t Find the Folder?
If you don’t see the folder mentioned above, don’t try to manually create it.
The easiest method is to use the Run command.
Press Windows + R, then enter:
%localappdata%\SWZeroCompany\Saved\Config\Windows
and press Enter.
This is the shortcut option if you don’t want to navigate through manually C:\Users\YOUR USER\AppData\Local.
If the folder still doesn’t exist, make sure you have launched STAR WARS Zero Company™ at least once. The game needs to create its configuration files before you can edit them.
Does This Fix Grainy Hair and Facial Hair?
Not necessarily.
Some players have reported that hair and facial hair can still look grainy or blurry even after disabling these settings. The configuration options above specifically control screen shake, film grain, chromatic aberration, and motion blur.
So, if the character hair still looks blurry after making these changes, that may be a separate graphics or rendering issue rather than motion blur.
