I recently started playing Servant of the Lake, and trust me, it has become one of my favorite puzzle-solving games. Here, I am not going to give you the exact solutions to each puzzle; it can be very hard for me also. In this guide, I will walk you through all the hidden achievements that you can unlock in the Servant of the Lake.
This game has many secret achievements that you can miss during normal gameplay. However, you can collect them after completing the game, but it won’t affect your progress if you unlock them as you move through the story.
All Secret Achievements in Servant of the Lake
Day 1
Task: The Arrival
Achievement: Pet the grasshopper
Once you get off the carriage, click on the horse’s eye a few times. The horse will react to it, and you will be given the achievement.
Task: Prepare the Breakfast
Achievement: A well-fed cat
After you enter the hallway, you’ll find the maid. After talking to her, check the box to her left. There you’ll find a bottle of milk.
Now return to the living room, and you’ll find a cat lying on the sofa chair. Give it milk and the achievement will unlock.
Task: Waking Up Aldous
Achievement: Exercising with Mr. Aldous
After eating the porridge, Mr. Aldous will like to exercise. When you help him with the exercise, don’t copy the movements shown by the figure on the dresser. Instead, do it randomly, and at one point Aldous will get stuck. He will ask for your help. Click on him three or four times to help him. After that, you’ll be given the achievement.
If you want to help him with the exercise to move further in the story, use this pattern: Left → Right → Down → Right → Right → Down
Once done, Mr. Aldous will say, “This helps me to stay young.”
Task: Preparing the Reception
Achievement: Small repairs
When the maid asks you to dust all the paintings, go to the servants’ quarters. There, you’ll find a small painting of a house. Click on it a few times, and it will fall and break into pieces. Now you have to rearrange the pieces and make it like before. Once done, you will be given the achievement.
Task: Welcoming The Guests
Achievement: Spoiled bouquet
Before you milk the goat, make sure to solve the flower puzzle first. You’ll get a bouquet. Give it to the goat, and it will chew it. Give the remaining flowers to Alexandra.
I milked the goat first and then solved the flower puzzle last. And guess what, the goat disappeared. So don’t make the mistake like me.
Task: Serving Tea
Achievement: Serving Matcha latte
This one requires a specific order.
Before making the cat throw up the sticky substance, feed the cat some tea.
Next, check the crate behind Alexandra. You will find a green powder near either cat waste or cat puke.
Pick up the green powder and add it to Alexandra’s tea. You still need to add the regular tea as well.
You can add the green powder either before Alexandra breaks the cup or after repairing the cup.
Task: Opening the Reunion
Achievement: Soothing the baby
When you are inside the living room, check the cupboard. You’ll have to solve the puzzle first to open it. Once you get the champagne bottle, pour some into baby James’ mouth.
Task: The Night Watch
Achievement: Checking for intruders
Well, this achievement was easy for me. When the maid asked me to see unusual things in the hallway, I saw a masked figure behind the window to the garden. However, he won’t always be there; you can also find him behind the door upstairs. Once you see him, this achievement will unlock.
Task: Searching the Attic
Achievement: Chase away the crow
When William asks you to search the attic, you have to scare away the crow from the window. You may not see the crow at first because it appears randomly. To make it appear, you can move left or right, solve puzzles, swipe the clouds to the left or right, open chests, etc.
Once you see it behind the window, click on it to make it fly.
Day 2
Task: Preparing Coffee
Achievement: Serving Mr. Aldous his favorite coffee
The maid will ask you to prepare a strong coffee in the morning. Before making the coffee, put the coffee beans on top of the stove to roast them. Do not place the beans directly in the flames.
After roasting them, grind the beans and prepare the coffee using the same process as before. Serve it to Mr. Aldous to get the achievement.
Task: Waking Up William
Achievement: Tickling Mr. William
When you get the feather from the parrot, use it on William. Tickle him around the nipples, or you can also try his nose. Keep tickling until he says “Stop it!“
Task: Cleaning the Floors
Achievement: Deep cleaning
When Kate asks you to clean the hallways, click on her bag to find the scrubber.
While scrubbing the blood in the servant’s room, look at the Vanterbooms drawing in the upper-left corner.
Use the scrubber on the drawing before cleaning the blood stains.
Task: Going Hunting
Achievement: A perfect hunt
For this achievement, you have to shoot William two times when you see him.
You can find him standing by the water. Once you shoot him for the first time, he will jump into the river. Take your shot again.
After that, shoot the remaining animals without missing a shot.
You need to complete the entire sequence without missing any shots. If you miss a shot, you’ll not get this achievement.
Task: Doing the Washing
Achievement: Close inspections
When you are helping with Laundry, go to the bathroom upstairs and look inside through the keyhole. First, you’ll see a shadow, and then the masked figure will suddenly pop up.
Task: Helping with Bathing
Achievement: Cleaning the windows
When Alexandra is inside the bathtub, clean the windows because they have fogged up. Make sure she is in the bathtub before cleaning the windows. Now tap on each window pane to clean them. Once done, you’ll again see the masked face, and the achievement will unlock.
Task: Night Time Duties
Achievement: Garbage disposal
When you get the animal parts in this task, throw them from the balcony.
Task: Inspecting the Cellar
Achievement: Pest control
You can take any three items before the gate comes down.
For the achievement, I’ve taken the:
- Sledgehammer
- Magnet
Once you’ve taken the item, go inside and then go to the left doorway.
When you are inside, you’ll see a hole in the wall. Use the magnet to pull the key out of the hole.
After taking the key, click the hole again. A mouse will run out. It will start running here and there.
Select the sledgehammer from your inventory and click on the mouse while it is running.
The mouse will be dead, and you’ll get the achievement.
If you want to complete the Inspecting the Cellar task, tap on the statue holding a clock. Once done, the time will rewind and you can now explore and choose the correct items that are required for the puzzle.
Day 3
Task: Looking for the Cat
Achievement: Petting the cat
In the morning, the Maid will ask you to find the cat. You will have to find him several times until he reaches into Maid’s lap. For the last time, you can find him in the servant’s room inside the gas stove.
When the cat is sitting on the maid’s lap, click on the cat’s head several times to unlock the achievement.
Task: Assisting in Alchemy
Achievement: Animal testing
After you get the elixir, take it to the parrot.
Pour some of the elixir into the parrot’s food bowl and let the parrot drink it.
Task: Unforeseen Maintenance
Achievement: Checking the furniture
Go inside the Servant’s quarters and look under the table where the cat is.
You will see several table legs. Click on the second table leg from the left.
A note will fall out and unlock the achievement.
Do this while the cat is still there, because you won’t get the achievement if the cat leaves.
Task: Preparing Dinner
Achievement: Seasoning the soup
Make sure to get the Knife first from the Maid during the cake preparation task.
Use the knife to kill the fly flying around the cake.
Pick up the fly and put it into the soup. Do this before adding the final ingredient.
Later, during the hallucination, a human fly will appear.
This achievement will not unlock immediately. Continue playing, and it will unlock later.
Task: Dressing Up for Dinner
Achievement: Finishing touch
When you go to the second floor, you will immediately find a picture puzzle in which you need to swap characters.
Place the fish in William’s usual position.
After solving the picture, take the special fish pin.
Now find the real William, not the William shown in the painting. Put the fish pin on William’s jacket to unlock the achievement.
Task: Serving Dinner
Achievement: Safety test
When the level starts in the dining room, look at the top-left corner.
You will see a rope connected to the chandelier.
Click the rope several times to test it. The achievement will unlock after the interaction.
Task: The Departure
Achievement: First aid
After you get the fork, pull up Aldous’ pant leg.
You will see many holes on his leg. Tap each hole to reveal a small ball inside.
Use the fork to remove all of the balls.
Then use your finger to close all the holes.
Final Achievement – You’ve found him!:
When you complete the game and see the credits, select “Continue” and read the note.
This is a letter from Kate, and she is asking for your help to find her brother who disappeared one year ago.
Now you’ll have to replay the game and make some changes to get this achievement.
Load Day 1 – Aldous’ Awakening.
Set the time to 4:05.
Go to Day 2 → Evening → Helping with Bathing
Select these four tiles:
- Alexandra
- Bathtub
- Suitcase
- Hand
Go to Day 3 – Alchemy Assistance.
Find the box on the floor and click its directions in this order:
→ → → ← → ← → → ←
Now return to Day 1 – Attic Search.
Look at the box on the left.
Set the stars from left to right to:
4 → 2 → 3
Go to Day 3 – Dressing for Dinner.
Enter the cellar and find the unopened wine box.
Check the note you received from the constellation puzzle. It has a drawing that shows how the lines on the wine box should be arranged.
Copy the lines onto the box.
Once done, you’ll get another note.
Then arrange the three bottles in the correct positions.
- Bronze Wine Bottle (असुर) – 𖦹
- Silver Wine Bottle (मानुष) – S
- Gold Wine Bottle (देव) – Triangle with a horizontal line through it.
Now one of the barrels will open. Crawl through the open barrel and go inside the secret room.
Shake the red cloth on the shelf to find another note.
Click on the locked box, and you need to enter the correct code to find the important item for this achievement.
The code is: 6294
You’ll find a telescope.
Go to the window next to the Dining Room.
Open the window and use the telescope.
Look at the mansion carefully. Focus on the window, and you’ll find him.
Once you’ve found him, this achievement will unlock.
