Fishing is one of the easy method that can give you lots of resources and vouchers in Halcyon Days at Taoyuan for free. However, it’s not an easy task to catch a specific fish if you are fishing in the wrong area or at the wrong time of day.
I have created this guide in which you can find every White Rarity fish currently available in the game. I have also included their locations, seasons, weather requirements, active hours, and point values.

Fishing Basics
Unlike some farming games, fishing in Halcyon Days at Taoyuan mainly depends on three factors:
- Location
- Time of day
- Weather conditions
However, you can use a bait to catch the fishes faster, but it is not always required. As long as you fish in the correct area during the correct time window, you have a chance to catch the fish you need.
The main fishing areas are:
- River
- Lake
- Sea
- Pond
- Pink Lake
You can find the Pink Lake beneath the giant pink tree. This lake contains many important species that also appear in other freshwater locations.
Important Notes Before Fishing
Voucher Conversion
Every fish you catch has a specific point value. If you want to estimate voucher rewards, just divide the point value by 10.
Shellfish Collection
Shellfish can be obtained through fishing or by using nets. Their listed availability times apply to both methods.
Xiao Dalan Quest
If you are following the Xiao Dalan’s fishing quest, any Gold or Prismatic rarity fish will count toward the objective. Make sure to reach Fishing Level 7 and upgrade your rod before attempting these catches.

Best Early Fish to Target
Grass Carp
Grass Carp is one of the easiest fish to find because it appears in multiple locations and remains available for most of the day. It is a reliable target for beginners looking to level up fishing skills.
Silver Carp
When the rain season comes, you can find Silver Carp at all location during day and night and the best part is that it also provides decent point value.
Barbel Chub
Among White rarity fish, Barbel Chub has the highest point values. If you are fishing during the evening, make sure to target this fish as it can level your skills much faster.
Prawn
You should also look for Prawns if you are focusing on sea fishing. They provide good value and can appear throughout the day.

Watch the Weather Forecast
Weather plays an important role in your fishing journey. Several fish only appear under specific weather conditions. Always check the forecast before heading out because it can save a lot of wasted time.
Fish During Peak Hours
If you have noticed the table above, you will find that many species share the same active windows. So always plan your fishing trip around those overlapping hour. It will let you target multiple fish at once.
Upgrade Your Rod Early
Your fishing rod is the most important weapon to catch fishes. A better rod improves overall fishing efficiency and becomes increasingly important when you start hunting higher-rarity species. So make sure to always level up your fishing road whenever you find the upgrades.
Carry Extra Bait
