If you are playing Shelve the Potions!, you will come across a lot of potion bottles with different colors, shapes, numbers, and icons. Your job is to organize these bottles and place them on the correct shelves.
The game has separate shelves for different potion colors, including red, yellow, blue, green, white, brown, and more. Each shelf contains multiple rows, and the bottles in a row usually follow a specific category or pattern. For example, bottles with the same type of icon may belong together in one row.
The important part is that you cannot simply place a bottle in any empty spot. The bottle must go to the correct shelf for its color and the correct position based on the puzzle’s clue. For example, if you place a yellow potion on the red potion shelf, the bottle may look like it fits, but the puzzle will not be completed.
Some rows are solved by arranging bottles by numbers, liquid amount, powder color, bottle size, or other visual clues. Other bottles have hidden numbers that you need to reveal by interacting with objects around the shop.

Shelve the Potions! All Puzzle Solutions
At the beginning of the game, your main goal is to complete five shelves to level up. During the tutorial, you will first see the blue, red, and green potion shelves. Pick up the potions from the floor and place each one in its correct position.
You can start with any shelf, but pay attention to the clues because each row uses a different sorting rule.
Blue Potion Shelves Solution
I am completing the left side of the blue shelves first. Search for the identical potions on the ground and place them into the shelves.
First Row: I placed the lowest to highest amount of liquid potions.
Second Row: I just placed the blue potions in ascending order. Search for the missing potion numbers with the same bottle type on the ground and place them on the shelves.
Third Row: You have to place the potion bottles with the powder color in this pattern: Red > Blue > Yellow > Brown > Green.
Fourth Row: Now this can be a tricky one. The leftover blue potion bottles have a crow icon, but we don’t have any clue about their order on the shelves. To solve this puzzle, I picked up all the blue potion bottles with the crow image and went to the crow, who is sitting near the candle. I clicked on the Crow, and it revealed the position number of all the bottles.
Green Potion Shelves Solution
First Row: Place the bottles in increasing order of the amount of liquid potion.
Second Row: I placed the bottles in ascending order: 1-2-3-4-5.
Third Row: Place the potion bottles by powder color: Red > Blue > Yellow > Brown > Green.
Fourth Row: Take all the green bottles with the crow image and go to the crow. Click on the crow to reveal the numbers of the bottles and place them on the shelves.
Red Potion Shelves Solution
First Row: Place the bottles in order from lowest to highest amount of liquid.
Second Row: I placed the bottles in ascending order: 1-2-3-4-5.
Third Row: Red > Blue > Yellow > Brown > Green.
Fourth Row: Take all the red bottles with the crow image to the crow and reveal the numbers on the bottles.
Now we have completed the three shelves and organized all the potions that we scattered on the ground.
Spice Puzzle Solution
After organizing the potion shelves, check the small shelf between the blue and green shelves.
You will find space for five spice bowls, but only one bowl is already there. Search around the shop for the other four bowls.
Pick them up and return all five spice bowls to the small shelf to complete this puzzle.
Pet the Cat
After completing the shelves in the tutorial area, look for the cat.
Interact with the cat and pet it.
This triggers the next part of the game and opens the door leading to the remaining shelves and additional puzzles.
Map Puzzle Solution
On the left side of the door, you can find a map. Use the solution shown in the image to complete this puzzle.
Orbiting Objects Puzzle
Some potions have objects moving or floating around them.
For this puzzle, count the orbiting objects around each bottle and arrange the potions from the smallest number of objects to the largest.
The same solution can also be applied to other floating objects, such as crystals.
Cork Size Puzzle
Check the cork on each bottle and compare its size. Arrange the bottles from the smallest cork to the largest cork.
Bottle Size Puzzle
This one is slightly different from the cork puzzle. Compare the actual size of each potion bottle and place them from smallest to largest.
Polygon Puzzle
Some bottles have shapes or polygons associated with them. Count the sides or corners of the shapes and arrange the bottles from the lowest number to the highest.
Floating Ingredient Puzzle
Look at the ingredient floating inside each potion.
For petal variations, count the number of petals and arrange the bottles from the fewest petals to the most.
The same type of puzzle can also use other ingredients, such as mushrooms or eyeballs.
Scale Puzzle
Some potion bottles cannot be solved just by looking at them. Take the bottles to the scales found in the shop.
Interact with the scales to reveal the numbers associated with the bottles. Use those numbers to put them in the correct order.
Clef/ Music Puzzle
You’ll find some bottles with a clef icon on them. Take these potion bottles to the harp.
The harp will reveal the numbers you need to determine the correct positions.
Use the revealed number to arrange the bottles on the shelf.
Candle Puzzle
For the candle-related bottles, take them to the candelabra.
Interact with the candelabra to reveal the hidden numbers, then use those numbers to position the bottles correctly.
Reagents Puzzle
This puzzle uses the price documents found around the shop.
Collect the missing documents and return them to the restocking board.
Once all the information is available, arrange the reagents from the lowest value to the highest value.
Moon Phase Puzzle
The moon puzzle requires you to observe a sequence rather than simply sort the bottles by appearance.
Use the telescope to watch the sequence.
You can easily remember the sequence by focusing on the first bottle and then watching the symbol at the top. The moon completes a full rotation, which helps you work out the correct sequence.
Clock Puzzle
For the clock puzzle, find the missing pieces and return them to the clock.
Watch the sequence and place the bottles according to these times:
3:00 → 6:00 → 10:00 → 1:00 → 7:00 → 12:00 → 2:00 → 9:00
Cardinal Directions Puzzle
This puzzle uses a compass.
Watch the sequence shown on the compass and use the directions in this order:
E → W → NE → SE → N → NW → SW → S
Follow the sequence carefully before placing the bottles.
Musical Notes Puzzle
For this puzzle, you’ll have to place the bottles with the clef icon in the musical notes order played by the harp. Go to the harp and play it.
Pay attention to the sequence of musical notes produced by the harp. That sequence tells you the correct order for the bottles.
Greek Letters Puzzle
While sorting the bottles, you’ll find some potions associated with the Greek letters. To know the placement order of these potions, look for the three test tube racks around the shop.
They provide the information needed to determine the bottle order.
The solution sequence is:
γ → ε → α → η → β → ζ → θ → δ
Runes Potion Puzzle
For this puzzle, find the four missing books and return them to the book stand.
Read the pages inside the books, and you’ll find the required sequence at the bottom-right of the pages.
The runes work as page numbers, so use them to identify the correct pages and determine the bottle order.
Solution: F – FF – FFF – FR – R- RF – RFF – RFFF
Story Puzzle
This puzzle can also be solved by looking at the pages of the missing books.
Read the pages and look at the illustrations.
The illustrations correspond to the icons shown on the potion bottles. Place the bottles in the correct order by matching the illustrations to the page number.
Cards Bottle Puzzle
To know the placement order of these bottles, check the sequence on the solitaire game board.
Solution: Red King → Black Jack → Black King → Black Ace → Red Queen → Black Queen → Red Jack → Red Ace
Glyph Puzzle
Look around the shop for the eight different baskets containing symbols.
Count the number of items inside each basket. For example, if a basket has three items, then its symbol location is 3. Match the symbol with the potion bottle symbol and place it in the third position. Use this pattern and place all the bottles.
Chess Pieces Puzzle
To know the placement order of these bottles, you’ll have to find all of the missing chess pieces and return them to the chessboard.
Once the pieces are back in place, look at the eight captured pieces on the board.
They provide the sequence needed to solve the puzzle.
Weather Puzzle
To know the placement order of the weather icon bottles, interact with the four crystal balls around the shop.
Check the weather information shown by the crystal balls and follow the sequence:
Windy → Tornado → Sunny → Cloudy → Snowy → Sun Through Clouds → Rain → Thunder
Elements (Fire, Water, Grass, etc) Puzzle
You’ll find some bottles with icons like fire, water, air, drizzle, rock, grass, etc. To know the correct order of the bottles, look for the elements poster in the shop.
The poster contains the pattern needed for this puzzle. Follow the pattern and use it to determine the correct order of the bottles.
Deities Puzzle
Find the deities pamphlet and look at the pattern shown inside it.
Solution: Spider > Mice > Cat > Crow > Bear.
Colors Bottle Puzzle
The color potion bottles use the placement order shown in the rainbow inside the shop.
Follow the color pattern shown on the rainbow and use that sequence to organize the bottles.
Flowers Puzzle
For this one, you have to find the missing flowers and return them to the flower stand.
Once all the flowers are in place, copy the pattern shown by both the flower colors and the number of leaves.
Use both details together to place the potion bottles.
