You can unlock the Extra Stage in Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic – The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil with a short cheat code. You just have to enter it on the Lunatic records screen, and the extra stage will be unlocked.
The cheat code will unlock the Derangement of Scarlet Devil ~ Sister of Scarlet stage, and you can play it from the main menu.
How to Unlock the Extra Stage in TH6: New Classic
1. Open the Score Menu
Start Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic (TH06) and go to the main menu.
Use the Arrow Keys to select Score, then press Enter.
2. Open the Lunatic Records
The Dream Records page will open, and there you can see the results of score and spell cards.
Use the arrow keys & move down to Lunatic — View Records and press Enter.
3. Enter the Cheat Code
Once the Lunatic record screen opens, type: classiclager on your keyboard.
You have to just type the code as we used to do in old GTA games. You do not have to open a separate cheat menu. Just type the code while you are on this screen.
When you type the code, the screen will shuffle for a bit.
After entering the code, you will hear a 1UP sound. This sound is different from the background music and you’ll know when it plays.
4. Start the Extra Stage
Press Escape to go back to the Dream Records screen.
Select Quit with the Arrow Keys and press Enter to return to the main menu.
You will now see Extra Start on the main menu.
Select Extra Start and press Enter to begin Derangement of Scarlet Devil ~ Sister of Scarlet.
If the Code Does Not Work
Make sure you are entering classiclager on the Lunatic — View Records screen.
The provided method is for the PC version.
The classiclager code may not be practical on console versions. The code may not work on console because you need a USB keyboard to type the code. However, if you own a console and want to unlock the extra stage, plug in a USB keyboard and try your luck.
