Voidtrain has many achievements for story progress, combat, train upgrades, crafting, and exploration. You can still unlock most of the achievements after finishing the story, so you don’t have to start a new save just because you missed something.
This guide lists all 55 Voidtrain achievements, including hidden achievements, with their requirements and my personal tips for unlocking the harder ones.
Voidtrain Story Achievements
These achievements unlock as you progress through the story, complete quests, and unlock new features. Some require extra actions, so check their requirements if they don’t unlock automatically.
Mom, Dad! I can Fly!
Complete the prologue and enter the Void. The achievement unlocks when you reach the main game world.
Don’t stop me now
Kill a leech attached to your train. Leeches appear on the sides of the locomotive and slow the train down.
Wait until the leech turns blue, then shoot it.
You must kill a leech while it’s attached to the locomotive. Killing one elsewhere won’t count.
Is this edible!?
Feed a mushroom to Roflimo. Once Roflimo joins your crew, pick him up and give him a mushroom. Mushrooms also serve as his perks.
Hey, I didn’t mean to!
Kill an enemy soldier. You’ll encounter soldiers as you explore depots and other locations, so this achievement is easy to get during normal gameplay.
We need more platforms
Build a railcar platform using the builder’s console in a depot. You can add platforms to existing wagons or build new ones.
The number of platforms you can use depends on your installed engine.

Recruit Roflimo to your train crew. Find amber containing a creature, place it in the chamber, and invite Roflimo onto your train.
You must have an empty ROFLIMO BED installed before you can invite him to join the crew.
Winch-slinging time!
Obtain the winch and use it. The achievement unlocks after you acquire the tool and put it to use.
Hah! Is this supposed to be a puzzle?
Solve a puzzle on a Witch Island. Explore these islands and complete one of their puzzles to unlock the achievement.
Did you wash your hands?
Find the island with unusual flowers and touch them. This leads to a unique entrance to the arena, which unlocks the achievement.
The more space, the merrier!
Craft a SMALL BACKPACK at the workbench and equip it in your backpack slot.
You’ll need the following materials:
- Wood
- 2 Leather
- Bolts
- Copper tubing
Now we’re talking
Equip any primary weapon in your weapon slot. You can find primary weapons as loot from defeated soldiers. Put one in weapon slot 1 or 2 to unlock the achievement.
Is this for me?
Open a chest in a depot. You can obtain chests from puzzles, arena rewards, or other depot activities.
Take a chest to the altar in the depot and open it. You can also ask Roflimo to bring the chest to you.
Train Flipper
Craft a mop at the workbench and equip it in your weapon slot. You don’t need to do anything else; equipping the mop is enough.
Milestone Achievements
These achievements require you to perform certain actions multiple times or meet specific requirements. You can work on most of them alongside the story.
Stonks
Trade 10 different items at vending machines. Try to complete Bargain Hunter at the same time by trading discounted items.
Bargain Hunter
Purchase five different discounted items in a row from vending machines.
Check the price tags beside the items. You need to buy items marked as being on sale, and all five purchases must be discounted.
Squeaky Clean
Clean five sources of dirt using a mop. Equip your mop and clean dirty areas on the train until the achievement unlocks.
Shock Therapy
Hit at least four enemies with a single sphere fired from the ANNIHILATOR Core’s secondary fire.
Equip the Annihilator Core, gather four enemies close together, and use its alternate attack. The arena is a good place to attempt this because enemies often appear in groups.
Hat Trick
Shoot the helmets off three enemy soldiers within 10 seconds.
A rifle or revolver works well for this. With a revolver, carry at least six bullets, so you have a chance for missed shots. Aim at the helmets and fire quickly.
Aquarius
Build and keep at least three water condensers on your train. Once all three are installed, the achievement unlocks.
It ain’t much, but it’s honest work
Install at least three garden beds on your train.
Spray and Pray
Kill three enemies in a row with the same weapon without reloading or using a cannonball.
The first depot is a good place to try this because many soldiers there don’t wear helmets. Use a rifle or shotgun with high damage per shot.
You can take your time between kills, but don’t reload between them. Weaken the enemies beforehand if needed, then finish each one with your chosen weapon.
Cleaned Out
Complete all three requirements in a single depot:
- Open two containers.
- Buy two items from a vending machine.
- Spend two tokens on a slot machine.
Depots usually have plenty of containers to search. Complete all three tasks before leaving the same depot.
Get Over Here!
Use the grappling hook to collect at least three items at once without using magnetism.
You can target a group of fish or several loose items. I recommend that you drop multiple items from your inventory in one spot, then grab them together with the grappling hook.
I enjoy melting things; is that a problem?
Smelt 20 iron ingots using the smelter.
You’ll need 200 fuel and 40 scrap metal in total. Each iron ingot requires 10 fuel and two scrap metal, so keep feeding the smelter until you’ve produced all 20 ingots.
Easy-Peasy
Complete all five waves of the arena. You receive three chests as a reward for finishing the full set of waves.
Headache
Shoot the helmets off enemy soldiers 10 times. This is a cumulative achievement, so you can work toward it across multiple encounters.
Aim at the heads of soldiers wearing helmets. You don’t need to remove all 10 helmets in one fight.
The Only Good Bug is a Dead Bug!
Kill 30 arena bugs of any type. You’ll encounter these enemies during arena waves, and the kills count toward the achievement over time.
The game was rigged from the start
Spend 10 tokens on a slot machine. You can find slot machines in depots, and defeated soldiers can drop tokens.
An engineer, truly an engineer!
Build a total of 12 wagon platforms. This achievement requires the Diesel Engine, so upgrade your train before trying it.
Dream team
Recruit at least five Roflimo to your crew. Keep recruiting them as you find them until your team contains five or more.
Achievements Worth Planning For
The following achievements involve train movement, afterburner use, and collisions. Consider using a separate save for these attempts if you want to avoid unnecessary damage or disruption to your main run.
These aren’t permanently missable. You can return to them later.
Fury Road
Destroy 15 mines in a row while driving in afterburner mode.
Activate the afterburner and shoot the mines in your path. Mines can be destroyed with a single shot, but you must maintain the streak.
Prophecies that increase the chances of finding mines can help you locate enough targets.
Very Useful Engine
Travel from one depot to the next at medium speed or higher without stopping the train.
Activate the afterburner to maintain your speed. Carry plenty of wood and iron so you can repair the train during the trip.
When this baby hits 88…
Drive continuously in afterburner mode for at least three minutes.
You can attempt this alongside Very Useful Engine. Keep moving, avoid unnecessary interruptions, and repair your train when needed.
Death from above… no below… no wait…
Die by colliding with a stone in the Void.
First, reduce your health without dying. Then activate the afterburner and collide with stones until your health reaches zero.
Make sure to try this on a separate save if you don’t want to risk your current run.
Full Ahead!
Travel from one depot to another without stopping the train. Unlike Very Useful Engine, this achievement doesn’t require medium speed or higher.
You can attempt both achievements during the same journey. Maintain your speed, avoid stopping, and reach the next depot.
Easy-to-Miss Achievements
These achievements require you to go out of your way to perform a particular action. However, they aren’t permanently missable, and you can unlock them later on your existing save.
Hauler
Use the grappling hook to collect these three items in the correct order within 10 seconds:
- Wood
- Scrap metal
- Chemical
You can also drop one of each item from your inventory, then collect them individually with the grappling hook in the required order.
What the hell are you?
Kill a shark at maximum mutation.
Mpemba Effect
Set the same enemy on fire and then freeze it.
You’ll need a Flamethrower Core and a weapon that can freeze enemies, such as the Ice Storm Core. A tank officer is a suitable target.
If you’re using the Ice Storm Core, use a weaker weapon so you don’t kill the enemy before applying both effects. Ignite the target first, then freeze it.
Ladies’ man
Leave one roasted organic and one boiled water flask at a location on a puzzle island.
Both items must be prepared correctly: the organic must be roasted, and the water must be boiled. Leave them at the island and continue playing if the achievement doesn’t unlock immediately.
Voidcup
Score a goal using the soccer ball at a depot. Some depots contain a soccer field, so find one and kick the ball into either goal.
Explosive
Kill an enemy soldier with a gas tank explosion.
Weaken a soldier until its health is low, then lure it near a gas tank. Shoot the tank to trigger the explosion and kill the soldier.
Other Achievements
These achievements involve research, special weapons, arena combat, crew activities, and other mechanics.
Mad Engineer
Destroy the pursuers’ engine during a train chase before they catch up with you.
You can attempt this during any train chase.
One-Man Band
Play every musical instrument in the game.
You need to research and craft all four instruments:
- Drum
- Accordion
- Domra
- Kazoo
Once you’ve unlocked their recipes, craft each instrument at the workbench, equip it, and play it.
BOOM!
Kill a Bomber Beetle before it explodes. These enemies appear in the arena, so watch for them during the waves and attack quickly.
On the brink
Complete every arena wave without letting your health drop below 25%.
Bring enough shield plates and replace them as soon as they become depleted or too damaged.
Rofl-band
Play a musical instrument alongside at least two Roflimos.
Equip any instrument and play near two Roflimos while they’re playing their instruments, too. Join in while both are performing to unlock the achievement.
Big Cleanup
Clear an outpost of all enemies. Outposts are the islands near the rails where hostile enemies appear.
Defeat every enemy at the outpost to complete the requirement.
Demoted!
Kill a tank officer with a melee attack while holding a weapon.
Use a gun to reduce the officer’s health first. Then move close and finish the enemy with a melee attack.
Our battle will be legendary!
Equip a weapon with four legendary modules.
You can obtain weapon modules from defeated enemies, gambling machines, and treasure chests. Collect four legendary modules and install them on a single weapon.
A Kind of Magic
Use a weapon’s alternate fire mode.
First, equip a Core on your weapon. Switch to alternate fire using G, then fire the weapon to unlock the achievement.
Cores such as the Flamethrower, Ice Storm, and Annihilator can be found in containers, chests, and weapons carried by defeated enemies.
Work up a sweat
Collect an item caught by the Lootcatcher.
Build LOOTcatcher’s Roost and wait for it to catch something. Once it brings an item back, collect the loot to unlock the achievement. Water can also count.
Scientific Debut
Research your first technology.
Build a research table using wood and scrap metal, then use it to research an available technology. Your research points appear in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Bruce, this is the wrong game!
Kill a shark at its highest mutation level.
Shoot the shark to weaken it, but don’t kill it. Let it consume mutagens, which it uses to restore health and increase its mutation level.
Wait until it reaches its highest mutation state, then kill it. The shark can find mutagens during its journey, so you may need to give it time to consume enough.
Altered Void
Begin a journey with three different prophecies installed.
As you progress, you’ll find a fortune-teller machine in depots. Collect prophecies from treasure chests or slot-machine rewards, install any three, and start your journey with them equipped.
