Songs of Glimmerwick Baking Recipes

Songs of Glimmerwick Baking Recipes: Prices & Profits

Baking in Songs of Glimmerwick lets you turn Flour and other ingredients into food that can restore Mana and provide extra bonuses. Some recipes are worth making for the money, while others cost more to produce than you get back from selling them.

You can make Bread as soon as you get Flour, but other recipes need seasonal ingredients. The list below covers the baking recipes, their selling prices, effects, and estimated profits, along with the locations where you can cook them.

How to Bake in Songs of Glimmerwick

You need Flour, a Watering Can filled with water, and access to a cooking fire.

Step 1: Get Flour

You can get Flour in two ways:

  • Buy Flour from the Miller: Each bag costs 20 Petals.
  • Make Flour using a Wheatmill: Buy Wheat Seeds for 20 Petals each and grow Wheat. You can purchase the Wheatmill schematic from Wisk – Practical Practice for 650 Petals.

Step 2: Make Dough

Open your inventory or hotbar and drag Flour onto your Watering Can. The can must contain water to turn the Flour into Dough.

Step 3: Add a Baking Ingredient

Drag an ingredient onto the Dough. If the ingredient works in a baking recipe, it will create a new dough item named after that ingredient or recipe.

For example, adding Dandelion creates the dough needed to bake Dandelion Bread. Plain Dough does not need an extra ingredient to make Bread.

Step 4: Bake the Dough

Take your Dough or prepared ingredient dough to a cooking fire. Interact with the fire and place the dough in the cooking slot.

Wait for it to finish cooking. The finished food will appear in the slot on the right.

Do not right-click the finished food unless you want to eat it immediately. Take it out without using the consume action if you want to sell it.

All Baking Locations

You can use the following cooking fires to bake food:

  • The Etchery – Common Room
  • The Etchery – Library
  • The Etchery – Garden Shed: Requires the Ghost Treasure quest and 1,000 Gold Petals.
  • Wisk – The Cup & Kettle
  • The Ochre Woods – Hideout: Requires the Ghost Treasure quest.
  • The Flute Maker’s

All Baking Recipes, Effects, and Profits

The recipes below are sorted by the season when you can first find their ingredients. Each recipe includes its selling price, effects, and estimated profit.

How profit works: The profit is calculated by subtracting the ingredient costs from the baked food’s selling price. For example, if you use Wheat worth 20 Petals and an ingredient worth 10 Petals to make food that sells for 50 Petals, your profit is 20 Petals.

These estimates do not include the 40% skill bonus. For plain Bread, only the 20-Petal cost of Flour is deducted because you don’t need an extra ingredient.

What Happens to Flour Sales During The Cursed Mill?

When the Cacophony Curse appears, the Miller stops selling Flour and Wheat. This happens when the Cursed Mill task begins.

To resolve the task:

  1. Follow the white footprints to find the Miller’s goblin hiding on the beach.
  2. Obtain the Melody of Stones by freeing Codrin from the fairy ring in the Ochre Woods.
  3. Get one Ungrowth Potion to access the mountain.
  4. Continue the Cursed Mill task to break the curse.

After you break the curse, the Miller will start selling Flour again.

Alternative Ways to Make Money With Food

Baking is not the only way to process ingredients for a profit in Songs of Glimmerwick. Once you complete Acorn’s quest, you can use a Pickler to make Pickled Fruit Medley from blackberries or winter berries.

Both berries have a base selling price of 10 Petals, while Pickled Fruit Medley sells for 49 Petals. That gives a potential return of 39 Petals per berry before considering any other costs.

Seaweeds and some shells can also be processed into Pickles of the Sea for similar returns. If you have access to the Pickler, it may be worth comparing these products with your baking recipes before spending Petals on Flour and other ingredients.
