To unlock the Special Staff Recruiter achievement, you need to recruit four special staff members in METAL GEAR SOLID: Peace Walker – Master Collection Version.
Their titles are:
- Game Designer
- Actress
- New Voice Actor
- Veteran Voice Actor
Two of these staff members can only be found in the endgame, so you will need to progress to that point in the story before you can collect everyone.
Warning: This guide contains endgame mission and location details. If you have not finished the AI weapon-related missions yet, go play the game and come back later to avoid spoilers.
How to Check Staff Titles
You can check a staff member’s title from the Staff tab at Mother Base.
Open a character’s details and look at the description below their code name. The special staff members can be identified by their unique titles.
Game Designer – Infiltrate the Crater Base
You can recruit the first special staff member during the Main Op Infiltrate the Crater Base.
Play through the mission normally until you reach the Crater Base area, and you can also see some trucks there.
At the end of the mission, you have to identify the correct truck. Look for the truck with the license plate: 63824
Choosing this truck will recruit the Game Designer.
This staff member is also identified as Hideo Kojima.
Actress – Travel to the Mine Base
The Actress can be recruited during the Main Op Travel to the Mine Base.
At the start of the mission, climb the first ladder that leads to the roof. Once you’re up there, move toward the edge and drop down carefully.
Use the ledge to move around the side of the building and reach the isolated section of the roof.
You will see Actress tied up there as a POW.
You can also use a Fulton launcher to reach her without going through the entire ledge section.
Make sure to extract her and finish the mission, and she will be added to your Mother Base staff.
New Voice Actor – Zadornov Search Mission
The New Voice Actor can be recruited during the endgame, in the Zadornov Search Mission.
If you are playing that mission, then go to Bananal Fruta de Oro: Sorting Shed. Continue going inside until you reach the last shed, and there you will find the POW tied up.
The location can be slightly annoying because Zadornov may be hiding near the beginning of the map, so you may have to search for him while also reaching the POW.
There is another POW during this mission in Rio Del Jade. That character is an Industrial Spy, so make sure you don’t confuse the two.
Extract the correct POW and complete the mission to recruit him.
Veteran Voice Actor – Zadornov Search Mission 5
The final special staff member can be found during Zadornov Search Mission 5.
Thankfully, this one is easy to locate. He is lying on the first map, close to the truck.
Search around the truck, and you can find the POW lying there. Extract him back to Mother Base.
How to Unlock the Special Staff Recruiter Achievement
After finding all four special staff members, make sure they are safely extracted and added to Mother Base.
Do not quit the mission instantly after Fulton-ing a POW. Finish the mission and return to Mother Base so the recruitment can be registered.
Once all four special staff members are recruited, the Special Staff Recruiter achievement will be unlocked.
