SCREENSIDE FISHER is a little different from a normal fishing game. You don’t have to sit and play it the whole time just to catch fish. Instead, the game stays in the corner of your screen while you work, browse the web, or do something else.
Place your character anywhere on the screen and let them fish in the background. When something bites, your character will let you know. The fish will wait for you, so you can come back whenever you are free and reel it in through a short timing mini-game.
Apart from fishing, you can cook dishes, sell fish and food, collect all 6 fishing rods, discover new recipes, and work on other things. There are also some hidden tasks and secrets tied to the game’s shops, diary, and story.

SCREENSIDE FISHER Achievements
1. The Sea Beneath the Screen
Requirement: Catch your first fish.
You will get this achievement the first time you successfully reel in a fish.
2. Let Me Cook
Requirement: Cook your first dish.
Catch some fish, use the cooking system, and make your first dish to unlock this achievement.
3. stonks
Requirement: Sell a fish or dish for the first time.
Take either a fish or a cooked dish to the shop and sell it.
4. Getting the Hang of It
Requirement: Catch 10 fish.
Catch 10 fish in total to unlock the achievement.
5. Seasoned Angler
Requirement: Catch 50 fish.
You need to catch 50 fish in total for this achievement.
6. Pro Angler
Requirement: Catch 100 fish.
Keep fishing until your total reaches 100 fish caught.
7. Fisherman’s Log
Requirement: Add 10 species to the Fish Catalog.
You need to discover and register 10 different fish species in the Fish Catalog.
8. Below the Surface
Requirement: Add 25 species to the Fish Catalog.
Continue finding different fish until you have 25 species registered.
9. Into the Depths
Requirement: Add 50 species to the Fish Catalog.
Register 50 different species in the Fish Catalog.
10. Researcher of the Electronic Sea
Requirement: Complete the Fish Catalog.
This requires you to complete the entire Fish Catalog.
If you have already caught every fish but the achievement does not unlock, there is an important detail for you: Developer Mode can lock achievements.
11. Recipe Book
Requirement: Add 10 dishes to the Recipe Catalog.
Discover and register 10 different dishes in the Recipe Catalog.
12. Quite the Spread
Requirement: Add 25 dishes to the Recipe Catalog.
Register 25 different dishes in your Recipe Catalog.
13. Seafood Buffet
Requirement: Add 50 dishes to the Recipe Catalog.
You need to discover and register 50 different dishes.
14. Guess I’m a Chef Now
Requirement: Complete the Recipe Catalog with all 94 dishes.
There are 94 dishes in the Recipe Catalog. Register all of them to unlock this achievement.
15. Is This Even Edible…?
Requirement: Cook dish 94, “404 not found.”
This one is different from the normal recipe achievements. You have to cook a combination of ingredients that does not match any regular recipe.
That will create Dish 94, “404 not found.”
16. Omakase
Requirement: Make all 15 types of sushi, dishes 34–48.
The sushi recipes follow the same basic combination:
Fish + Rice + Wasabi
For example, to make Salmon sushi, use:
Salmon + Rice + Wasabi
You need to make all 15 sushi dishes from 34 through 48.
17. Five Stars!
Requirement: Earn five stars in the cooking mini-game with a score of 95 or higher.
The cooking mini-game has 3 rounds. Stop the moving arrow as close to the center of the target zone as possible.
The closer you are to the center, the higher your score. A near-perfect result such as 34 + 33 + 33 = 100 is enough to pass the 95-point requirement.
18. Order Up!
Requirement: Complete a Special Order at Shop 7.
First, register at least 4 dishes in the Recipe Catalog. After that, Special Orders will appear.
Go to Shop 7, “Today’s Orders,” take an order, and deliver the requested dish.
19. Lucky Black Cat
Requirement: Reach Luck level 5.
Keep increasing your Luck until you reach the maximum level 5.
20. Tools of the Trade
Requirement: Collect all 6 fishing rods.
You need to obtain all 6 rods available in the game.
21. Motion Sickness
Requirement: Shake the shop window back and forth for about 2 seconds.
Grab the shop window and quickly move it from side to side for around 2 seconds.
You do not need to do anything with the fishing system for this one. Just shake the shop window.
22. Garbage Disposal
Requirement: Deliver a 0-star or 1-star dish at Shop 7.
Go to Shop 7, the order shop, and deliver a dish that has 0 or 1 star.
This achievement is basically the opposite of trying to make a perfect dish.
23. UNSURFACABLEELECTRONICSEA-N/A
Requirement: Unlock Apsu’s Shop by catching fish 87, “𒀊𒍪,” with 5 stars.
You need to catch fish 87 and get a 5-star result.
This will unlock Apsu’s Shop.
24. i can fix him
Requirement: Unlock Lugal’s Shop.
Catch either:
- Sea urchin (fish 61)
- Fancy sea urchin (fish 62)
Catching either one will unlock Lugal’s Shop.

Requirement: Enter the Konami Code in Lamu’s Shop.
Go to the last page of the underwater shop, which is visual page 8, and enter:

This will unlock Lamu’s Shop.
26. Chatterboxes
Requirement: Hear everything every shop NPC has to say.
You need to listen to all conversations from all shop NPCs.
If you are working toward this achievement, talk to the shop NPCs and check their dialogue instead of skipping through it.
27. Her Name
Requirement: Complete the Tiamat event and enter her name at the deep-sea terminal.
There are a few things you need to finish first.
Unlock Shops 4, 5, and 6, then complete the dialogue for all 7 NPCs involved in the event.
After that, search the diary for Tiamat.
You can also find the name through the game’s other listed name references, including the cuneiform easter egg:

Once you have the name, enter it at the deep-sea terminal.
The game’s dialogue and character names point toward Mesopotamian mythology, where Tiamat is connected to Apsu. This also explains why these names show up around the game’s deeper story.
28. Maneki-neko
Requirement: Scratch the lottery ticket 100 times.
First, search the diary for Malli.
After the lottery unlocks, scratch the lottery ticket 100 times to unlock the achievement.
29. New tank. New aquarium.
Requirement: Buy a fish tank.
Search the diary for Ansekura to access the fish tank-related option.
Then purchase a fish tank to get the achievement.
30. This isn’t a baking game…
Requirement: Make 5 five-star bread.
For this achievement, use 1 Flour and cook it.
You need to make the resulting bread 5 times with a five-star rating.
So the basic setup is:
1 Flour → Cook → 5-star Bread
Repeat it until you have made 5 five-star breads.
That covers all 30 achievements in SCREENSIDE FISHER. You can unlock most of them naturally as you catch more fish, cook new dishes, and fill both catalogs, while a few require specific shops, diary searches, or hidden actions.
The harder ones are the Fish Catalog, Recipe Catalog, Tiamat event, and shop-related achievements.
