In Scritchy Scratchy, the Gadgets Only challenge is very hard to complete, and you can see a game over if you spend your money on the wrong tickets. The worst thing is that you can’t even take loans if you run out of cash, so you’ll need a bit more planning on the tickets that you are going to buy.
I easily managed to complete this Gadgets Only challenge by building the Luck first and then switching tickets at the right levels. Here’s the ticket order I used to finish this challenge.
Best Ticket Order for the Gadgets Only Challenge
Follow these ticket changes in order. Some tickets will need more money than others, so wait until you can afford the next one before switching.
Early Game: Build Your Luck
- At the start, use the tickets you can afford to build up some money.
- Skip Apple Tree and switch to Quick Cash as soon as you can buy it.
- Keep using Quick Cash until you can afford Sand Dollars.
- Continue buying Sand Dollars until you reach 14 Luck.
- At Luck 14, switch to Scratch my Back.
Mid Game: Switch Tickets at These Levels
Once your Luck increases, change to the following tickets:
- 15 Luck: Switch to Snake Eyes.
- 18 Luck: Switch to The Bomb.
- After The Bomb, switch to Bank Break when you can afford it.
- Move to Xmas countdown once you have enough money.
- 28 Luck: Switch to Thrift Store.
- 30 Luck: Switch to Berry Picking.
- Move to Trick or Treat when you can afford it.
You don’t need to rush these changes. If you reach a Luck level but can’t afford the next ticket, keep using your current one until you have enough money.
Late Game: Reach 38 Luck
At 38 Luck, switch to Slot Machine.
How to Finish the Challenge?
Once you switch to Slot Machine at 38 Luck, keep buying Luck upgrades whenever you can afford them. Continue upgrading until you reach the money requirement for the challenge.
You can also upgrade your gadgets whenever you have spare cash. These upgrades can help speed things up, but don’t spend so much that you put yourself at risk of running out of money.
The main thing is to be patient. There are no loans to cover your bad run, so don’t rush into buying tickets you can’t afford. Follow the Luck levels above and save up before each switch.
