Welcome to Elderfield has many Ritual Skills that help you with combat and utility. Basically, they are sort of magical power which instantly kill your enemies in fewer attacks. In the beginning, you start with Guard, and then you need to find other rituals, buy them, or earn them while exploring.

How to Get Energy Shot
Energy Shot is the first combat ritual you will find, and you can get it very early in the game.
Head northeast of your house and look for the Old Braiser lying on a large tree stump. Interact with it to get the ritual.
- Cost: 2 MP
- Effect: Fires a weak bolt of energy at an enemy.
Later patches changed Energy Shot so it can inherit your weapon’s attack element.
How to Unlock Warp
Warp is a utility ritual that lets you return home for free.
Go to Mall F1 and enter Ultra Video, which is the first shop after entering the mall. Talk to the Shopper on the far right near the SALE/camera display.
The Shopper will give you Warp.
- Cost: Free
- Effect: Warps you back home.
How to Get Dark Shield
You can get Dark Shield by defeating the Office Slime near the Mall F1 Hallway door.
Find the slime in the southern snack/hallway area, defeat it, and loot the ritual tome it drops.
- Cost: 3 MP
- Effect: Gives +20% Defense and Magic Defense for 3 turns and +1 Recovery.
Mall Vending Machine Rituals
The Mall vending machine sells several tomes that you can use to learn rituals.
Lesser Mending
- Price: 25g
- Cost: 10 MP
- Effect: Restores 20 HP and gives +1 Recovery.
- Use: Can also be used outside battle.
Cosmic Premonition
- Price: 50g
- Effect: Lowers enemy Attack and Defense by 20% for 3 turns and gives +1 Recovery.
Torrent of Darkness
- Price: 100g
- Effect: Deals Darkness damage to all enemies.
The same vending machine also has related combat skill tomes, including All or Nothing for 25g and Heavy Blow for 5 MP.
Later Ritual Skills
Some Ritual Skills only unlock when you reach new areas and progress through the story.
Dark Blast
Get Dark Blast from Old Man Jackson after Build-A-Wife.
- Cost: 5 MP
- Effect: Deals Darkness damage.
- Bonus: +1 Fatal and may inflict Hex.
Ghost Blast
Ghost Blast can be acquired from Pete, the laundry ghost.
Find Pete in the apartment laundry room to receive the ritual.
- Cost: 5 MP
- Effect: Deals Curse damage.
- Bonus: +1 Fatal and may inflict Fear.
Energizing Blast
You can find Energizing Blast in the Library.
- Effect: Has a 15% chance to generate 1 AP.
Pumpkin Blast
You can get it after opening the chamber doors in the Old Woods.
Chaos Thorns
Chaos Thorns unlocks after opening the chamber doors in the Sewers.
Which Rituals Should You Get First?
If you want to make your early fights easy, then grab the Energy Shot and Warp as soon as you can.
Energy Shot gives you an early combat benefit, while Warp lets you return home for free. Dark Shield is also useful once you reach the Mall and can handle the Office Slime.
