The Hellfire map is finally available in Far Far West with the new Frostburn update. This update has added the lava-filled Hellfire region along with new quests and other content, but there is also a hidden secret that you can discover.
If you have unlocked Hellfire and want to find its secret, then you need to collect a special ring and take it to the volcano. The secret is not explained directly in the game, so it is easy to miss if you are just exploring the map.
In this guide, I’ll show you where to find the One Ring, how to carry it through Hellfire, where to use the dynamite, and how to destroy the ring to unlock the secret Joker.
How to Complete Far Far West Hellfire Secret?
Note: To unlock Hellfire, you first need to complete the new Jungle questline, which sends you through three underground dungeons to collect the ancient scrolls. Once you have completed that questline, Hellfire will be unlocked.
The new map also has its own hidden secret involving a ring and the volcano. Here is exactly what you need to do to complete it.
How to Get the One Ring?
First, go to the top-right area of the map.
Look for the area where you can hear traps nearby. You can also see a small green sparkle in the cave-like structure. This is where the short dungeon is located.
Once you find the spot, go inside, and you will find a small puzzle with stationary traps. Make sure you move carefully through the area without getting hit, and reach the end to collect the One Ring.
Once you pick it up, you need to carry it all the way to the volcano.
Important: Carrying the ring gives you a black-and-white visual effect, which can make movement harder to follow. The ring does not make you invisible or invincible, so enemies can still attack you.
If you drop the ring, it will appear on the ground with the name “The Precious”, making it easier to find again.
Take the Ring to the Volcano
After getting the ring, your next destination is the volcano.
The ring can only be destroyed at this location.
When you reach the volcano, you will find a wall blocking the path. Use dynamite to blow it open.
Bring Two Sticks of Dynamite
Make sure you take two sticks of dynamite before climbing up.
There is another wall further along the route that also needs to be destroyed.
If you only brought one stick, you can still get another one. When you reach the second wall, turn around and take the path on the right. You will find a new dynamite box there that you can use to open the way.
Throw the Ring Into the Lava
After breaking through the walls, continue climbing and follow the path until you reach the inside of the volcano.
Now you just need to throw The Precious into the lava.
Drop the ring into the fire to destroy it and complete the Hellfire secret.
After doing this, you will unlock the Joker and can enjoy the reward for completing the secret.
