Tenebris Somnia Achievements

Tenebris Somnia Achievements Guide – Hidden Trophies

Tenebris Somnia has many achievements that you can miss if you progress too far without completing the required tasks. For some trophies, you need to complete the run with only one specific weapon, while others require you to defeat bosses in a certain way or choose particular endings.

Make sure to read the requirements for the missable achievements, especially Stella Plena, which you should complete before fighting Sanguis. In this Tenebris Somnia guide, I’ve covered all 14 missable achievements, combat challenges, and the requirements for all four endings.

Story-Related Tenebris Somnia Achievements

Devora

Requirement: Find all three film canisters.

You’ll see the film reels while playing through the story, so just make sure you collect all three canisters when you see them.

Have You Chosen… Wisely?

Requirement: Fill the silver bottle by removing three save points.

Remove three save points to fill the silver bottle. This is part of the game’s objective, so you will unlock the achievement easily.

De Relictis

Requirement: Read every page of the old book.

Read all the pages in the old book before finishing the game. Unlike the previous two achievements, this one is optional for story progression, so you can reach the ending without unlocking it.

Check the book carefully and make sure you finish reading every page before going to the final sections of the story.

Missable Exploration Achievements

For these achievements, you need to do specific interactions or actions in certain areas. Complete them when you reach the listed locations, as some of them can disappear once you progress.

Maybe He’s In The Bathroom

Requirement: Knock on Iván’s door 10 times.

At the very beginning of the game, you’ll need to use your apartment keys to enter Iván’s Apartment. Before using the keys, interact with the closed door 10 times.

Do this immediately. Once you enter the apartment, you may lose your chance to unlock the achievement.

Thinking About Him, huh?

Requirement: Look at Iván’s picture five times.

When you first reach the second-floor apartment, enter the room next to the TV. You’ll find computers, a revolver, and a picture of Iván inside.

Interact with the picture five times to unlock the achievement.

One More For The Road

Requirement: Drink Lavendoleum while at full health.

Wait until your health is full, then drink Lavendoleum. Using it while injured won’t meet the requirement, so check your health before drinking it.

Classics Never Die

Requirement: Pick up the iron pipe.

You need a screwdriver to collect the iron pipe from the bathroom.

  1. Visit the area where you watch the film reels.
  2. Find the screwdriver resting on top of a box near the stairs.
  3. Take the screwdriver to the bathroom.
  4. Use it to obtain the iron pipe.

Stella Plena

Requirement: Open every star locker.

You can find the star lockers on Floor 0, 1, 2, and 3.

Check my Tenebris Somnia Star Locker Locations guide to find all six Copper Stars and their matching lockers.

Important: The Sanguis boss fight is the point of no return for this achievement. Open every star locker before starting that fight.

Bad Puppy

Requirement: Make Sanguis destroy every mannequin.

During the Sanguis boss fight, use the standing mannequins to your advantage. Position yourself so the boss’s attacks hit the mannequins instead of you.

Keep baiting its attacks until every mannequin has been destroyed. Make sure you don’t kill Sanguis before you finish this task.

You Can Stop Now

Requirement: Keep walking through the endless corridor.

Near the end of the game, you’ll encounter a puzzle involving an endless green corridor.

Keep moving left through the corridor until the achievement unlocks. Don’t turn back or stop searching for another route.

Heart of Lead

Requirement: Kill every Relicta ghost.

You can work toward this achievement during the route for Ending #2. After obtaining the Aurifer, kill the Relicta ghosts throughout the area.

Don’t think about killing the ghosts only on the way to Séptimo Arte. Check every floor and kill all the Relicta you encounter.

Important: This achievement may not register every kill correctly. To reduce the risk of missing it:

  • Don’t kill multiple Relicta with a single attack.
  • After killing a ghost, wait until its gold particles disappear.
  • Check each floor carefully before moving on.

Combat Achievements

Some achievements require you to defeat enemies or bosses under specific conditions. Save your progress before trying the more difficult challenges.

Wrench Queen

Requirement: Complete the game using only the wrench.

Finish the game without using other weapons to attack, aim, or shoot. You have to use the wrench throughout your run.

You can combine this challenge with Iron and Wax, which also requires you to defeat a boss using the wrench.

He Just Wanted a Hug

Requirement: Escape into another room before a Vorax explodes.

Find a Vorax, the large enemy that explodes after taking enough damage. Shoot it until it turns red and starts charging toward you.

Quickly move into another room. Wait until you hear the explosion before returning.

This achievement requires a firearm. If you’re working on Wrench Queen, make a separate save before attempting it so you can return to your wrench-only run afterward.

The Two Stooges

Requirement: Kill at least two enemies with one attack. Carnitos does not count.

The hallways outside the elevators are a good place to attempt this achievement.

If only one enemy is present, make sure you leave it alive until more enemies appear. Once two or more enemies gather together, use a shotgun or the wrench to hit them with the same attack.

Save before trying this, as you may take damage while waiting for enemies to group up.

Iron and wax

Requirement: Defeat Obscuratus using only the wrench.

Obscuratus is the first boss. You’ll find it in the candle-filled room that you enter through a window.

Defeat the boss using the wrench for the entire fight. Don’t switch to firearms or other weapons.

This achievement is easy to unlock alongside Wrench Queen, since both challenges require you to use the wrench.

Exhaust Pipe

Requirement: Defeat Fumus using only the iron pipe.

Fumus is the second boss, encountered after you use the animal skull key item. Its face has a hole in the middle.

First, obtain the iron pipe from the bar’s bathroom. You’ll need the screwdriver to collect it.

Use the pipe to defeat Fumus without switching to another weapon.

Warning: Using the pipe for this fight will invalidate your Wrench Queen run. If you’re attempting both achievements, keep a separate save or reload an earlier one before continuing.

Valiant Little Taylor

Requirement: Kill three Carnitos with one hit.

Carnitos is the third boss, which you encounter after using the Chisel key item.

During this encounter, enemies spawn that can be killed with a single hit from any weapon. Let three of them gather close together, then land one attack that kills all three.

Butcheress

Requirement: Defeat Carnitos without taking damage.

You’ll encounter Carnitos after using the Chisel key item.

The best position is the bottom-right corner of the arena. From there, you can shoot the enemies while reducing the risk of being hit.

If you’re completing Wrench Queen, you can also use this position with the wrench. Move out just far enough to draw enemies toward you, then time your attacks carefully.

Restart from a save if you take damage before defeating Carnitos.

Acrophobia

Requirement: Die after Lacuna drops you.

Lacuna is the boss encountered on the route to Ending #1.

During the first phase, watch for the attack where Lacuna screams, jumps, and lands. When this attack begins, stay still so Lacuna can grab you and drop you to your death.

Let the attack kill you to unlock the achievement.

Devoured

Requirement: Get eaten by Hermes.

Hermes is the boss you encounter on the route to Ending #2.

During the second phase, search for the boss’s exposed mouth. Move close to it or enter the mouth and let Hermes kill you.

The achievement will unlock when you get eaten.

Ending Achievements

Tenebris Somnia has four endings. The first two depend on how you handle the Relicta after obtaining the Aurifer, while the third requires extra steps involving a book. The fourth requires you to leave the apartment complex at the start of a new run.

If you want to see every ending without heavy replaying, save your progress before playing the first two routes.

SOLVE ET COAGULA — Ending #1

Requirement: Get Ending #1.

After obtaining the Aurifer, the yellow knife, do not kill any Relicta.

Continue to the Séptimo Arte Theater/Gallery and enter it to trigger the first ending.

Make sure to keep a save from before this decision if you want to play other endings.

MAGNUM OPUS — Ending #2

Requirement: Get Ending #2.

After obtaining the Aurifer, kill a large number of Relicta before entering the Séptimo Arte Theater/Gallery.

This is the opposite of the first ending’s requirement, so you can use a separate save to avoid repeating too much of the game.

Recommended: Combine this run with Heart of Lead. Kill every Relicta ghost on every floor before entering the gallery to unlock both achievements together.

VIVUS EX MORTIBUS — Ending #3

Requirement: Get Ending #3.

First, unlock Ending #1 and Ending #2. Then start a new run and pick up the book from the table at the beginning.

With the book in your inventory, you’ll need to solve several puzzles using alternate solutions before completing their normal versions.

1. Solve the TV puzzle on the second floor

Reach the second-floor apartment and use the book on the TV displaying static.

The instructions tell you to step on the Male/Mars symbol and hit every symbol six times in a counterclockwise direction.

Complete the sequence and collect the red cross.

2. Solve the film-reel puzzle differently

Go to the Community Center, where you watch the film reels and collect their associated items.

Instead of entering the normal combination, use the book and enter the combination shown in the cutscene.

Complete the alternate solution to obtain another inverted red cross.

3. Use the book in the green-door room

Travel to Floor 0 and collect the yellow cable.

Enter the green door and use the book inside the room. Insert the cable, then cycle through the camera six times. You can also repeatedly interact with the camera until the required sequence is complete.

This will give you the third inverted red cross.

4. Place the inverted crosses

Once you’ve obtained the inverted crosses from the alternate puzzle solutions, head to the street outside Séptimo Arte.

Find the spot where you can place the crosses and put them there. Then enter the door that opens and follow the sequence inside to reach Ending #3.

Make sure you complete the alternate puzzle solutions before finishing the regular versions of those puzzles.

RENUNTIATIO — Ending #4

Requirement: Get Ending #4.

After unlocking Ending #1 and Ending #2, start a new run.

At the beginning, turn around instead of continuing into the apartment complex. Use your keys to leave the complex and trigger the fourth ending.
