If you want to get all achievements in Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic, you’ll need patience, a lot of practice, and some good runs. Many achievements are easy to unlock and will come naturally while completing different challenges. However, some require a 1CC run, a no-death run, an Extra Stage clear, and a full Spell Card Record.
You can use Challenge Mode for most of the normal achievements since it gives you infinite lives. However, it won’t work for every achievement.
The hardest achievements to unlock are There Are No Continues in Life and The Very Model of a Danmaku Collector!. You’ll also need to reach the new Extra Phantom phase during the Extra Stage.
Here’s the full list of TH6: New Classic achievements.
Stage Achievements
Use the Challenge Mode for these achievements, as you’ll get unlimited lives.
The first five stages are available on every difficulty. Stage 6 requires Normal difficulty or higher.
You can then unlock the Extra Stage after getting a 1CC on Normal or higher. You can also unlock it using a TH6 cheat code.

Ending Achievements
There are a total of six endings in the game. But for the achievements, you need two Bad Endings and four Good Endings.
For a Bad Ending, either:
- Finish the game on Easy.
- Finish the game on any difficulty while using at least one continue.
The character can also determine which Bad Ending you’ll get.
For a Good Ending, complete the game on Normal or higher without using a continue. This is called a 1CC.
You can also get a Good Ending in the challenge mode, but you’ll have to finish with fewer than 5 deaths.
The four Good Endings also depend on your character and shot type:
| Ending | Character | Shot Type |
|---|---|---|
| Ending 3 | Reimu | ReimuA – Spirit Amulet |
| Ending 4 | Reimu | ReimuB – Dream Amulet |
| Ending 5 | Marisa | MarisaA – Magic Amulet |
| Ending 6 | Marisa | MarisaB – Love Amulet |
Next Time For Sure…
Get either of the Bad Endings.
Complete the game on Easy mode, or clear any difficulty while using at least one continue.
I Brought My Parasol
Get Ending 3 with ReimuA (Spirit Amulet).
Clear Normal or higher without continuing.
What’s the Story?
Get Ending 4 with ReimuB (Dream Amulet).

Clear Normal or higher without continuing.
No Dead Rats Here
Get Ending 6 with MarisaB (Love Amulet).

Difficulty Achievements
These achievements are unlocked when you clear each specific difficulty.
A higher-difficulty clear does not unlock the achievements for the lower difficulties. You need a separate clear for Easy, Normal, Hard, and Lunatic.
Continues are allowed for these achievements in Standard Mode. You can also use Challenge Mode with infinite lives.
Impressive, You Show Promise
Clear the game on Easy.
Easy ends after Stage 5.
You’re a Sharp Shooter!
Clear the game on Normal.
Continues are allowed.
Are You Maybe an Arcade Veteran?
Clear the game on Hard.
Continues are allowed.
The Scarlet Moon Is Yours!
Clear the game on Lunatic.
Continues are allowed.
The Extra Stage and Extra Phantom
After reaching Flandre, you can trigger a new Extra Phantom section added specifically for New Classic. It adds three more Spell Cards to the fight.
To reach it, you need to capture 7 or 9 of Flandre’s Spell Cards during the Extra Stage.
For a Spell Card to count as captured, you have to finish it without taking a hit, bombing, or running out the timer.
Once Extra Phantom starts, you don’t have to capture the three new cards. Just survive them.
There Are No Continues in Life
Give it everything you’ve got!
Reach the Extra Phantom phase and survive its three additional Spell Cards.
You do not have to capture these three bonus Spell Cards. You only need to get through them.
Don’t Worry, There Are Plenty of Replacements
Complete all stages in Challenge Mode.
Select Challenge Mode on any difficulty and finish a run.
Nothing Could Replace You
Finish all stages with no deaths.
This achievement can not be completed in Challenge Mode.
You can unlock it on Easy, where you have to face only five stages. You can also use bombs, but make sure to spend them when a section or Spell Card becomes too dangerous.
You have to complete the required stages in one run without dying.
Miscellaneous Achievements
Welcome to Gensoukyou
Set out to resolve the incident for the first time.
Start your first run on any difficulty or mode.
Please Tell Us Your Name
Leave your name in the records for the first time.
After dying or finishing a run, enter your name to save your score.
8 Frames of Satisfaction
Perform your first deathbomb.
When you get hit, you have a very short window to use a bomb and cancel the hit instead of losing a life.
The window is only 8 frames, roughly 0.13 seconds, so don’t expect to nail it every time at first.
Let’s Just Check Out the Music Instead
Unlock 7 or more tracks in the Music Room.
You can unlock music by hearing tracks during your runs, and once you reach the stage 4 boss, you’ll get seven tracks.
After unlocking them, open Music Room from the main menu to trigger the achievement.
The Very Model of a Danmaku Collector!
Reveal all spell cards in the Spell Card Record.
You need to reveal all 134 unique Spell Cards in the Spell Card Record. You do not have to capture them.
The basic requirement is to reach the relevant boss Spell Cards across every difficulty and the Extra content:
- Easy — reach Sakuya’s final Spell Card
- Normal — reach Remilia’s final Spell Card
- Hard — reach Remilia’s final Spell Card
- Lunatic — reach Remilia’s final Spell Card
- Extra — reach Flandre’s final Spell Card
- Extra Phantom — reach Flandre’s final bonus Spell Card
Patchouli’s Spell Cards
Patchouli Knowledge can change some of her Spell Cards depending on your character and shot type.
That means you cannot see all of her cards with one character.
You need to reach the end of Stage 4 with all four combinations on each difficulty:
- Easy + ReimuA
- Easy + ReimuB
- Easy + MarisaA
- Easy + MarisaB
- Normal + ReimuA
- Normal + ReimuB
- Normal + MarisaA
- Normal + MarisaB
- Hard + ReimuA
- Hard + ReimuB
- Hard + MarisaA
- Hard + MarisaB
- Lunatic + ReimuA
- Lunatic + ReimuB
- Lunatic + MarisaA
- Lunatic + MarisaB
That makes 16 separate runs just for Patchouli’s different Spell Cards.
You can check your progress from Score → Spell Card Records in the main menu.
