I stopped choosing Pals based only on their combat stats a while ago. Some of the best party setups in Palworld come from Partner Skills instead of just raw damage. A Pal that boosts your attacks or enhances status effects can make a bigger impact than another damage dealer.
When I first started testing different party combinations, one thing confused me. Several Partner Skills indicate “Does not stack,” but that doesn’t always mean the effect is limited to one Pal.
For example, Cremis and Ribbuny both increase the Attack of Neutral Pals. Even though each skill says it doesn’t stack, you can still use both at the same time because they’re different Pals. The same rule applies to some elemental variants like Vanwyrm and Vanwyrm Cryst.
This small detail opens up many interesting party combinations, especially if you’re focusing on one element or a specific status effect.
Palworld All Partner Skills List
Neutral Partner Skills
Neutral Pals may not have flashy status effects like Fire or Ice, but they provide some of the best passive bonuses in the game. Most of them boost your team’s overall stats instead of concentrating on one combat mechanic.
Ribbuny
Ribbuny increases the Attack of all Neutral Pals in your party by 15% to 30%. Another Ribbuny won’t provide an additional bonus, but other Neutral Attack buffers can still work alongside it.
At your base, Ribbuny also raises every other Pal’s Handiwork Work Suitability by 1 level, which speeds up crafting.
Cremis
Cremis gives a 15% to 30% Neutral Attack bonus, just like Ribbuny.
The important part is that Cremis and Ribbuny stack together because they are different Pals. If you’re building a Neutral team, this is one of the easiest ways to increase your damage.
When assigned to a Ranch, Cremis also produces Wool.
Sibelyx Primo
Sibelyx Primo focuses on defense rather than offense.
It raises the Defense of Neutral Pals by 15% to 30% and can produce High Quality Cloth while working at a Ranch.
Starryon Primo
Starryon Primo is a great option if you enjoy traveling on a ground mount.
It boosts your jump height while mounted, and its Movement Speed increases by 5% to 25% for every other Neutral Pal in your party. The bonus doesn’t count another Starryon Primo.
Celesdir
Celesdir is one of the more versatile Neutral mounts.
Every extra Neutral Pal in your team raises its Attack and Movement Speed by 2% to 6%. It also restores 0.15% to 0.75% Health every second for you and your party.
The healing effect doesn’t stack with another Celesdir, but it’s still a nice bonus while exploring.
Selyne
Selyne functions as a flying mount.
While mounted, it boosts both Neutral and Dark attack damage by 15% to 30%, making it a good choice if your build includes those two elements.
Fire Partner Skills
Fire teams get much stronger when you start combining Burn effects instead of relying just on raw Attack. Several Fire Pals build on top of each other, so the damage increases quickly during longer fights.
Kelpsea Ignis
Kelpsea Ignis raises the Attack of Fire Pals by 15% to 30%.
It can also produce Flame Organs when assigned to a Ranch.
Rooby
Rooby takes on the defensive role for Fire teams.
It increases Fire Pal Defense by 15% to 30% and also produces Flame Organs at the Ranch.
Finsider Ignis
Finsider Ignis is surprisingly useful if you carry several weapons.
It reduces weapon weight in your inventory by 60% to 100% while increasing Fire weak-point damage by 25% to 40% for both you and your Pals.
Pyrin
Pyrin turns all of your attacks into Fire damage while you’re riding it.
It also raises your Attack by 5% to 20%, making ranged weapons and melee attacks hit noticeably harder.
Chillet Ignis
Chillet Ignis works almost the same way as Pyrin.
While mounted, your attacks become Fire-element attacks and gain a 5% to 20% Attack increase.
Ragnahawk
If you prefer flying, Ragnahawk offers the same Fire conversion.
While mounted, all your attacks turn into Fire attacks and receive a 5% to 20% Attack boost.
Wixen
Wixen remains one of my favorite Fire partners for player-focused builds.
Instead of riding it, you activate its Partner Skill. Your attacks immediately become Fire attacks, and your Attack rises significantly by 30% to 50%. That bonus feels especially powerful if most of your damage comes from guns or melee weapons rather than your active Pal.
Renjishi
Renjishi starts the Burn combo.
Every attack applies Burn (2 to 6), giving your Fire team something to build on.
Majex
Majex rewards you for hitting enemies that are already burning.
Every hit creates flames around the target that continuously damage nearby enemies for 15% to 30% of your own Attack. The effect doesn’t stack, but it clears groups surprisingly quickly.
Jormuntide Ignis
Jormuntide Ignis is easily one of the strongest partners for Burn builds.
It makes you immune to lava damage and increases all damage against Burning enemies by 50% to 65%. Once Burn is active, boss fights end much faster.
Flaracle
Flaracle takes the Burn combo even further.
Attacking a Burning enemy causes an explosion that deals 40% to 60% of your Attack damage to nearby enemies. Large enemy groups rarely survive when Burn starts spreading.
Ghangler Ignis
Ghangler Ignis moves across water and becomes faster as your team grows.
Its Movement Speed increases by 5% to 25% for every other Fire or Water Pal in your party.
Suzaku
Suzaku follows the same concept for Fire teams.
Its flying speed increases by 5% to 25% for every other Fire Pal in your party, making long-distance travel much quicker.
Moldron
Moldron gains 4% to 8% Attack for every Fire or Ground Pal in your party.
It fits nicely into mixed Fire and Ground setups.
Eidrolon Ignis
Eidrolon Ignis benefits Dragon and Fire teams.
Its Attack and Movement Speed increase by 2% to 6% for every other Dragon or Fire Pal in your party.
Fire Team Synergy
A Burn-focused party is one of the easiest elemental builds to create.
I usually start by applying Burn with Renjishi. After that, Jormuntide Ignis boosts all damage against the target, Majex adds continuous flame damage around burning enemies, and Flaracle finishes the combo with powerful explosions. If I want my own weapons to do more work, I swap one slot for Wixen to take advantage of its huge 30% to 50% Attack buff.
Water Partner Skills
The Water teams are based on the Soak status effect; although Soak by itself causes only minor damage. A number of Water Pals deal huge bonus damage once an enemy has been soaked. The increase in damage can be easily noticed when fighting bosses.
Kelpsea
When Kelpsea is in your party, its Attack for Water Pals is increased by 15% to 30%.
At the base, it is also capable of producing Aquatic Pal Fluids if it is assigned to a Ranch.
Gloopie Primo
Gloopie Primo boosts the Defence of Water Pals by 15% to 30% if your Water team requires greater survivability.
Penking Lux
Penking Lux stands out against bosses.
This increases the weak-point damage caused by both you and your Pals when using Water attacks by 25 to 40 per cent, and the benefit accumulates rapidly if you keep landing headshots or weak-point hits.
Azurobe
Azurobe can be used both as a mount and as a combat partner.
When you are on horseback, your attacks will be of the Water element, and your Attack will increase by 5% to 20%.
Finsider
Finsider works in a similar way to how Wixen works for Fire builds.
When you activate your Partner Skill, your attacks will turn into Water type, and you will receive a substantial increase in Attack of between 30% and 50%.
Ophydia
The Water combo is started by Ophydia.
Every attack adds Soak (2 to 6). This makes enemies more vulnerable to stronger attacks that come next.
Jormuntide
Jormuntide is the primary source of damage in Soak builds.
This increases the amount of damage done to enemies who are Soaked by 50 to 65 per cent, which makes a noticeable difference when facing more difficult targets.
Ghangler
Ghangler is also a water-type mount that becomes faster the larger your party is.
For every other Dark or Water-type Pal that is in your party, the creature’s Movement Speed increases by 5% to 25%.
Ghangler Ignis
The rule is slightly different in the case of the Ignis variant.
For every other Fire or Water type Pal that is in your party, its Movement Speed increases by 5% to 25%, which makes it a good choice when forming hybrid elemental teams.
Suzaku Aqua
Suzaku Aqua gives points to complete Water teams.
For every other Water Pal that is in your party, the speed of this one increases by 5 to 25 per cent.
Water Team Synergy
I usually put together Water teams with Ophydia and Jormuntide; Ophydia keeps the opponents wet, and Jormuntide makes use of the large damage bonus. Finsider should be included when most of your damage is coming from your own weapons, and Penking Lux further increases damage dealt to weak points during longer battles.
Electric Partner Skills
Teams that use electric attacks depend on Electrify; some of the Pals either apply the status effect or cause additional damage when the enemies become Electrified, which makes them an excellent option for controlling a group of opponents.
Sparkit
Sparkit raises the Attack of Electric Pals by 15 per cent to 30 per cent.
It can likewise create Electric Organs at the Ranch.
Dinossom Lux
Dinossom Lux increases the Defence of Electric Pals by 15% to 30% and at the same time functions as a rideable mount.
Univolt
Univolt raises the amount of damage dealt to Electric weak points by 25% to 40% both for yourself and for your Pals.
It’s particularly useful when you regularly aim at the weak points of your enemy.
Helzephyr Lux
While you are mounted, Helzephyr Lux changes your attacks into electric ones.
It also raises your Attack by 5 per cent to 20 per cent.
Beakon
Beakon also provides the electric conversion along with improved mobility.
In addition to raising your Attack by 5 per cent to 20 per cent, the flying speed is increased by 5 per cent to 25 per cent for each other Electric Pal in your party.
Solmora Lux
Solmora Lux functions as both a mount for combat and as a companion for fishing.
When riding on something, your attacks turn Electric, your Attack is increased by 5% to 20%, and it also becomes easier to catch talented Pals while fishing.
Prixter Lux
Prixter Lux is the most powerful personal damage option in this category.
When you activate your Partner Skill, your attacks will become Electric, and you will gain an increase in Attack of 30 to 50 per cent.
Snock
When you carry out your attacks, you use Electrify (2 to 6).
That status effect is the source of a number of other Electric Partner Skills.
Slowatt
Slowatt uses enemies that are electrified.
When you attack a target that is electrified, an electric discharge is caused, which inflicts 40% to 60% of your attack damage on enemies nearby.
Rayhound
I still regard Rayhound as one of my favourite ground mounts because of its mobility.
It can perform a double jump, and the amount by which its Movement Speed increases rises by 5% to 25% for each other Electric Pal in your party.
Electric Team Synergy
An Electric team is very effective.
Begin with Snock to use Electrify, and then allow Slowatt to cause area damage. Prixter Lux greatly enhances your own attacks, and Univolt boosts the damage dealt to stronger enemies when attacking their weak points.
Ground Partner Skills
The ground teams concentrate on the Muddy status effect; although there are fewer combo pieces in this type of setup than with Fire or Grass, the damage bonus obtained against enemies with Muddy is still sufficient to base a team around it.
Dumud
Dumud raises Ground Pal’s Attack by 15 per cent to 30 per cent.
It can also manufacture high-quality Pal Oil on a ranch.
Kikit
Kikit raises Ground Pal’s Defence by 15 to 30 per cent.
Turtacle Terra
Turtacle Terra is helpful even when you are not fighting.
It reduces the weight of sulphur and coal by 80% to 100% and at the same time increases ground weak-point damage by 80% to 100%.
Gildane
When you are mounted, Gildane changes your attacks to Ground attacks.
It also raises your Attack by 5 per cent to 20 per cent.
Anubis
Anubis is still one of the game’s best combat partners.
When you activate your Partner Skill, your attacks will become Ground type, and your Attack will rise by 30% to 50%. Meanwhile, during a battle you are also able to dodge attacks by making a quick side step.
Surfent Terra
Surfent Terra uses Muddy (2 to 6) each time you launch an attack.
Pierdon
Pierdon’s damage against enemies who are Muddy is increased by 50 per cent to 65 per cent.
The bonus makes Surfent Terra the ideal setup for Pal.
Ground Team Synergy
Building ground is quite simple.
Use Muddy with Surfent Terra and then let Pierdon benefit from the extra damage. Anubis can be included in almost any Ground-based setup since its individual Attack increase is good enough to overlook.
Grass Partner Skills
Grass teams possess one of the strongest chains of status effects in Palworld, since several Partner Skills are based on Ivy-Covered and the result is surprisingly powerful when all the elements are in place.
Bristla
Bristla raises the Grass-type Pal’s Attack by 15 to 30 per cent.
Nitemary Botan
Nitemary Botan’s Grass-type Pal Defence is increased by 15% to 30%.
Ribbuny Botan
Ribbuny Botan increases its Grass weakness damage by 25 percentage points, making it 40%.
It also makes Weapon Workbenches, Weapon Assembly Lines, and other crafting stations 200% to 400% more efficient outside of combat.
Quivern Botan
When you are on horseback, Quivern Botan turns your attacks into Grass-type attacks.
It also increases attack by 5% to 20%.
Elgrove
Elgrove provides a considerably more powerful personal bonus.
When you activate its Partner Skill, your attacks will become of the Grass type and your Attack will rise by 30% to 50%.
Needoll Noct
Needoll Noct should use Ivy-Covered (2 to 6) each time you launch an attack.
Needoll
Needoll’s damage is increased by 50 per cent to 65 per cent against enemies who have the Ivy-Covered status.
Leafan
The power of Leafan increases as your Grass team becomes larger.
For every other Grass-type Pokémon that is in your party, the Pokémon’s Attack and Defense rates increase by 2% to 6%.
Souffline
The capture rate for Ivy-Covered Pals is increased by Souffline.
That’s a good thing to have when you’re looking for rare Pals rather than raising bosses.
Silvance
He completes the Ivy-Covered combo.
When you attack an enemy that is covered with ivy, an explosion occurs and inflicts 40% to 60% of your attack damage; it also guards both you and your pals from the World Tree’s Explosive Spores.
Grass Team Synergy
Teams consisting of Ivy-Covered tend to form naturally.
I normally use Needoll Noct, increase the damage with Needoll, and then allow Silvance to set off explosions after each successive hit. Whenever I am attempting to capture rare Grass Pals, I will swap in Souffline.
Ice Partner Skills
Ice teams have fewer Partner Skills that are focused on combos, but they become a lot stronger when combined with Water effects, and it’s much easier to trigger Freeze once the enemies are already drenched.
Foxcicle
Foxcicle raises Ice Pal’s Attack by 15 per cent to 30 per cent.
It can also create Ice Organs at a Ranch.
Rayhound Cryst
The item Rayhound Cryst raises Ice Pal’s Defence by 15 to 30 per cent.
It can also carry out a double jump when it is mounted, just as its normal version can.
Moldron Cryst
Moldron Cryst raises the damage dealt to Ice-type weaknesses by 25 to 40 percent for both you and your Pals.
Azurobe Cryst
While you are mounted, Azurobe Cryst turns your attacks into ice attacks and raises your Attack by 5 per cent to 20 per cent.
Univolt Cryst
Univolt Cryst provides the same Ice type conversion together with an Attack bonus ranging from 5% to 20%.
Beakon Cryst
When you carry out attacks while on Beakon Cryst, they are transformed into Ice.
It also obtains a 5% to 25% increase in Movement Speed for each other Ice Pal in your party.
Icelyn
Icelyn is the best choice when it comes to dealing damage in builds that focus on ice.
When you activate your Partner Skill, your attacks will become ice attacks and your Attack will increase by 30% to 50%.
Elgrove Cryst
Elgrove Cryst possesses one of the most unique Partner Skills in the game.
Once enemies have already been affected by Soak, they will become Frozen when you attack them.
Frostallion
Frostallion is still one of the strongest Ice mounts.
When you are on horseback, your attacks turn into ice attacks, the Freeze effect (ranging from 2 to 6) is applied, and you gain an increase in Attack of 10 to 40 per cent.
Ice Team Synergy
Ice works at its best when it is combined with Water.
I usually soak enemies first, then bring out Elgrove Cryst for an instant Freeze. Frostallion works just as well if you want to keep Freeze active while dealing much more serious damage with your own attacks.
Dragon Partner Skills
Dragon Pals focus less on status effects compared to other elements. Instead, they reward you for creating a full Dragon party by stacking Attack, Movement Speed, or weak-point bonuses. If you like using Dragon Pals in combat, these Partner Skills make them even more powerful.
Quivern
Quivern is one of the easiest Dragon Attack buffers to add to a team.
While it’s in your party, the Attack of all Dragon Pals increases by 15% to 30%. This effect doesn’t stack with another Quivern, but it does combine with different Dragon buffs.
Dinossom
Dinossom takes on the defensive role for Dragon teams.
It boosts the Defense of Dragon Pals by 15% to 30% and also serves as a rideable mount.
Blazamut Ryu
Blazamut Ryu excels during boss fights where weak-point damage is crucial.
It increases the Dragon weak-point damage dealt by you and your Pals by 25% to 40%.
Chillet
Chillet is a straightforward but powerful mount for player-focused builds.
While mounted, your attacks turn into Dragon-element attacks, and your Attack increases by 5% to 20%.
Eidrolon
Eidrolon supports mixed Dragon and Dark teams.
Its Attack and Movement Speed go up by 2% to 6% for every other Dragon or Dark Pal in your party.
Eidrolon Ignis
The Ignis version follows a similar idea but works with Fire.
It gains 2% to 6% Attack and Movement Speed for every other Dragon or Fire Pal on your team.
Shaolong
Shaolong keeps it simple.
Its Attack rises by 4% to 8% for every other Dragon Pal in your party, making it a solid choice if you’re nearly full Dragon.
Dragon Team Synergy
Dragon teams perform best when you focus on the element rather than mixing too many different Pals.
I usually start with Quivern for the Attack boost, add Blazamut Ryu for extra weak-point damage, and use Shaolong or Eidrolon to stack even more Attack as the team grows. Chillet is a nice addition if you want your own weapons to deal Dragon damage.
Dark Partner Skills
Dark teams feature some of the most engaging Partner Skills in Palworld. They not only enhance Dark damage but also involve Blind and Poison, offering various ways to build around status effects.
Hoocrates
Hoocrates boosts the Attack of Dark Pals by 15% to 30%.
This bonus doesn’t stack with another Hoocrates.
Demon Eye
Demon Eye has the same Attack bonus.
The key point is that Hoocrates and Demon Eye stack together, since they are different Pals, even though their effects are the same.
Wistella
Wistella raises the Defense of Dark Pals by 15% to 30%.
Croajiro Noct
Croajiro Noct does more than enhance combat.
Activating its Partner Skill lets you jump high into the air by leaping onto it. While it’s in your party, it also boosts Dark weak-point damage by 25% to 40% for both you and your Pals.
Helzephyr
Helzephyr turns your attacks into Dark attacks while mounted.
It also grants 5% to 20% Attack.
Pyrin Noct
Pyrin Noct works almost the same way.
While mounted, your attacks become Dark-element attacks and gain 5% to 20% Attack.
Wixen Noct
If your weapons deal most of the damage, Wixen Noct is a top choice.
Its Partner Skill converts your attacks to Dark and provides a 30% to 50% Attack boost.
Venusa
Venusa applies Blind (2 to 6) every time you attack.
Roujay
Roujay maximizes the potential of Blind.
It raises all damage against Blinded enemies by 50% to 65%, making it the ideal follow-up partner.
Prixter
Prixter focuses on a different status effect.
Instead of Blind, it increases damage against Poisoned enemies by 50% to 65%.
Bakemi
Bakemi also works with Poison.
Attacking Poisoned enemies reduces their Attack by 40% to 80%, making tough fights a lot easier.
Ghangler
Ghangler becomes faster as your party expands.
Its Movement Speed increases by 5% to 25% for every other Dark or Water Pal in your party.
Shadowbeak
Shadowbeak remains one of the fastest flying mounts.
While in the air, it gains extra Movement Speed and increases Dark attack damage by 15% to 30%.
Selyne
Selyne boosts two elements at the same time.
While mounted, it improves both Neutral and Dark attack damage by 15% to 30%.
Hoocrates + Demon Eye Stack
I tested this because the description is a little confusing. Even though both Pals have the same Attack buff, Hoocrates and Demon Eye stack together since they’re different Pals. The “Does not stack” note only stop you from bringing duplicate copies of the same Pal.
Dandilord
Dandilord offers one of the most helpful utility skills in the game.
Activating its Partner Skill makes your attacks apply Poison (2 to 6). While in your party, you and your Pals become immune to Poison, and toxic gas in the World Tree no longer affects you.
Frostallion Noct
Frostallion Noct combines offense and crowd control.
While mounted, your attacks become Dark attacks, apply Blind (2 to 6), and gain a 10% to 40% Attack boost.
Dark Team Synergy
Dark builds offer two different paths.
I often pair Venusa with Roujay when I want to focus on Blind since the damage boost is significant. If I’m using Poison instead, Dandilord applies the status effect while Prixter increases the damage against poisoned targets. Bakemi is also worth considering since lowering enemy Attack simplifies longer boss fights.
Partner Skills That Work With Every Team
Not all Partner Skills belong to a specific element. Some Pals enhance survivability, cut cooldowns, boost damage after each kill, or strengthen your active combat Pal. These fit well into almost any party.
Flambelle
Flambelle restores 0.1% to 0.5% Health every second while you’re outside combat.
The healing doesn’t stack, but it’s a nice bonus during long exploration sessions.
It can also produce Flame Organs at the Ranch.
Celesdir
Celesdir is in the Neutral category, but its healing works well in nearly every party.
Besides gaining Attack and Movement Speed from other Neutral Pals, it restores 0.15% to 0.75% Health every second for you and your party.
Cryolinx Terra
Cryolinx Terra rewards precise shots.
Landing a weak-point hit boosts the power of your next weak-point attack by 30% to 60%.
Carnibora
Carnibora turns dodging into an attack.
Each dodge roll or step creates a whirlwind that damages enemies it encounters. The whirlwind deals Grass damage with 40 to 80 Power.
Blazamut
Blazamut grows stronger the longer a fight lasts.
Every defeated enemy increases the Attack and Defense of your active combat Pal by 5% to 10% for 20 seconds. The effect can stack up to five times.
Maraith
Maraith is one of my go-to choices for aggressive combat.
Each enemy you defeat shortens the Active Skill cooldowns of all party Pals by 30% to 60%.
Lapure
Lapure lowers the Partner Skill cooldowns of every other Pal in your party by 10% to 50%.
If your build relies heavily on Partner Skills, this Pal makes a lot of sense.
Celesdir Noct
Celesdir Noct sacrifices survivability for more damage.
Your active combat Pal slowly loses Health, but its Attack increases by 40% to 80%.
It’s powerful, but you’ll need a solid healing source to counteract the health drain.
Orserk
Orserk benefits players who frequently use firearms.
Every bullet that hits an enemy boosts the Attack and Defense of your active Pal by 1% to 5% for 5 seconds.
The effect can stack up to 30 times, making it very effective during long boss fights with automatic weapons.
Xenolord
Xenolord is designed for weapon-wielding Pals.
It raises the damage of their Partner Skills by 20% to 50%, making companions like Gobfin, Loupmoon, Nyafia, and similar Pals much more effective.
General Team Synergy
These Partner Skills fit almost anywhere because they aren’t linked to one element.
When I’m exploring, I often keep Flambelle or Celesdir for passive healing. During boss fights, Orserk becomes incredibly powerful if I’m using guns, while Maraith keeps Active Skills available much more often. Lapure is another easy addition when my build relies on Partner Skills instead of standard attacks.
Player-Focused Partner Skills
Not every Partner Skill boosts an element. Some Pals directly enhance your character, making them helpful regardless of your team setup. A few can prevent your defeat, while others improve your Attack, Defense, mobility, or survivability.
If most of your damage comes from your own weapons rather than your active Pal, these Partner Skills are especially valuable.
Healing and Survival
Herbil
Herbil acts as an emergency revive. If you get knocked down, it restores 30% to 60% of your maximum Health, giving you another chance to keep fighting.
Teafant
Teafant automatically heals you when you are in trouble. Once your Health drops below 30%, it restores 20% to 40% Health. The skill has a 120-second cooldown, so don’t expect it to activate multiple times in the same fight.
Petallia
Petallia focuses entirely on healing. Activating its Partner Skill restores 75% to 85% of your Health. At the base level, it also improves every other Pal’s Planting Work Suitability by one level.
Petallia Ignis
The Ignis variant heals even more. Its Partner Skill restores 80% to 90% Health. With it in your party, both you and your Pals take 15% to 30% less Grass damage and become immune to Ivy-Covered.
Lyleen and Lyleen Noct
Both versions offer some of the strongest healing skills available.
- Lyleen: Restores 80% to 90% Health.
- Lyleen Noct: Restores 85% to 95% Health.
If you want to avoid carrying healing items constantly, either version is a great choice.
Damage Buffs
Gobfin and Gobfin Ignis
Gobfin attacks enemies with Aqua Gun, while Gobfin Ignis uses Spirit Fire. Besides dealing damage, both versions increase your Attack by 10% to 20%, making them popular for weapon-focused builds.
Vanwyrm and Vanwyrm Cryst
Both flying mounts boost the damage you deal to enemy weak points.
- Vanwyrm: 20% to 40%
- Vanwyrm Cryst: 30% to 50%
The best part is that these two buffs stack together because they are different Pals.
Felbat
Felbat grants both you and itself Life Steal. Every hit restores 5% to 9% of the damage dealt as Health, which is especially strong during long boss fights.
Lovander
Lovander provides the same 5% to 9% Life Steal effect. Choose whichever fits your team best.
Menasting and Menasting Terra
Both versions increase your Defense by 5% to 10%. They also boost the item drops from defeated Electric Pals by 40% to 80%, making them useful for farming specific resources.
Warsect and Warsect Terra
Landing five melee hits within 5 to 9 seconds creates a protective barrier around you. If you enjoy melee combat, this extra protection can save you from strong attacks.
Silvegis
Silvegis improves your shield rather than your Health. It reduces shield regeneration delay by 30% to 60% while lowering shield damage taken by 65% to 80%.
Hartalis
Hartalis is one of the safest mounts in the game. While mounted, it generates a barrier to block incoming attacks and can perform a triple jump.
Tetroise Primo
Equipment durability becomes much less of an issue with Tetroise Primo. It increases the durability of all weapons and armor by 80% to 100%.
Tropicaw
Tropicaw extends your dodge invincibility frames by 15% to 30%. If you rely on dodge timing instead of blocking, this Partner Skill is surprisingly useful.
Lapiron
Lapiron increases your Defense by 50% to 65% while sprinting. This simple bonus helps when you are trying to escape dangerous situations.
Leezpunk and Leezpunk Ignis
Activating their Partner Skill makes both you and the Pal invisible for 10 to 20 seconds. Enemies will not detect you during that time, making these two great options for stealth.
Snugloo
Snugloo doesn’t make you invisible, but it lowers the chance of enemies noticing you in the first place. It’s a nice passive option if you prefer avoiding unnecessary fights.
Hoodle
Hoodle rewards surprise attacks. It increases your damage against enemies that haven’t entered combat yet by 50% to 100%.
Dupin
Dupin becomes stronger when your Health drops below 50%. It creates a powerful Fire explosion around you with 100 to 200 Power and maximum Burn buildup. During this, your Attack increases by 30% to 50% until your Health rises above half.
Solenne
Solenne encourages party variety instead of stacking duplicates. If every Pal in your party belongs to a different species, your Attack rises by 30% to 80%.
Melee Weapon Partner Skills
If you spend most fights swinging swords, katanas, or other melee weapons, these Partner Skills provide better value than elemental buffs.
Pupperai
Pupperai increases your melee weapon damage by 10% to 35%. It’s one of the simplest damage boosts available.
Loupmoon and Loupmoon Cryst
Both versions attack enemies with their own special skill while also increasing your melee attack speed by 15% to 30%. Faster swings make a noticeable difference against aggressive bosses.
Bushi Noct
Bushi Noct boosts melee damage by 30% to 65%, but only when enemies aren’t actively fighting you. It’s ideal for opening attacks or stealth builds.
Skutlass and Skutlass Ignis
These two have one of the most unique Partner Skills in the game. Activating the skill turns the Pal into a katana with 2,600 to 3,900 Attack.
There’s a downside, though. If the Pal doesn’t return to normal quickly or uses Iaigiri, it becomes incapacitated afterward.
Xenogard
Xenogard doesn’t improve swords or clubs. Instead, it increases energy weapon damage by 10% to 35%, making it a better fit for advanced weapon builds.
Ranged Weapon Partner Skills
Ranged builds have their own dedicated support Pals, and several of them work extremely well together.
Robinquill
Robinquill increases bow damage by 10% to 35%. If you’re still using bows early in the game, this bonus is easy to appreciate.
Robinquill Terra
Instead of boosting damage, Robinquill Terra speeds up bow charging by 15% to 30%. That extra speed makes fully charged shots easier to use in combat.
Loomen
Loomen gives every arrow a small explosion. Each hit deals extra damage equal to 15% to 30% of your own Attack, making it easier to clear groups of enemies.
Frostplume
Frostplume focuses only on firearms. It increases reload speed by 20% to 50%, reducing downtime during long fights.
Nyafia
Nyafia temporarily fights alongside you with its own shotgun. While it’s in your party, your shotgun damage increases by 10% to 35%.
Xenovader
Automatic weapons benefit the most from Xenovader. The last bullet fired from a full-auto weapon deals 100% to 160% additional damage, rewarding players who empty entire magazines.
Xenogard
Xenogard appears here as well because its bonus applies to energy weapons. It increases energy weapon damage by 10% to 35%, making it useful for futuristic weapon builds.
My Favorite Player Build
When I mainly rely on my own weapons instead of Pal damage, I typically build my party around buffs that stay active throughout the fight.
Gobfin is usually part of my team because a free 10% to 20% Attack boost is hard to pass up. I like pairing it with Vanwyrm Cryst for the extra weak-point damage, Felbat for Life Steal, and Silvegis when I’m facing bosses that constantly pressure my shield.
That setup doesn’t depend on a specific element, so I can swap my main combat Pal whenever I need without rebuilding the rest of the party.
Egg Partner Skills
If you spend a lot of time breeding or hunting rare Eggs, a few Partner Skills can save you hours of grinding. These Pals don’t boost combat much, but they are very useful when you start looking for perfect passives or Alpha variants.
Grintale
Grintale is one of the best partners for Egg farming.
While it’s in your party, every Pal Egg you collect has a 50% to 75% chance to give you one extra Egg. Since the bonus does not stack, one Grintale is all you need.
Broncherry and Broncherry Aqua
Both versions improve the quality of the Eggs you find without increasing the quantity.
- Broncherry: Pal Eggs have a 35% to 45% chance to turn into Alpha Pal Eggs.
- Broncherry Aqua: Raises that chance to 45% to 55%.
If you’re looking for stronger hatchlings, either version is worth bringing along.
Braloha
Braloha never needs to leave your base to be helpful.
While assigned to your base, it boosts the breeding speed of every Pal working at the Breeding Farm by 20% to 50%.
Dynamoff
Dynamoff focuses on incubation instead.
Keeping it at your base cuts down Egg incubation time by 20% to 40%. This makes large breeding projects much less tedious.
Best Egg Farming Setup
When I’m collecting Eggs around the map, Grintale is my first choice because extra Eggs mean more chances for good passives.
Back at the base, I usually pair Braloha with Dynamoff. One speeds up breeding, while the other shortens incubation time, so the whole breeding cycle finishes much faster.
Capture Partner Skills
Catching rare Pals becomes easier when you use the right Partner Skills. Some improve capture rates directly, while others reduce Pal Sphere usage or increase your chances of finding specific passive traits.
Wispaw
Wispaw rewards careful positioning.
It raises your capture rate whenever you get the Back Bonus during a capture attempt. If you often sneak behind wild Pals before throwing a Sphere, this bonus activates frequently.
Katress
Katress offers two useful bonuses at once.
Neutral Pals drop 40% to 80% more items after defeat. Plus, every Pal Sphere you throw has a 10% to 50% chance not to be consumed.
Saving Spheres may not sound exciting, but the difference becomes clear when hunting rare Alpha Pals.
Lunaris
Lunaris enhances both exploration and capturing.
Your carrying capacity goes up by 300 to 600, and Pal Spheres automatically home in on nearby targets. Missed throws become much less common with this Partner Skill.
Yakumo
Yakumo is a top choice for passive hunting.
While you fight together, it gives you a 15% to 30% higher chance of encountering Pals that share the same Passive Skill as Yakumo. Certain special passives are excluded, but the bonus is still very helpful if you’re breeding perfect Pals.
Souffline
Souffline increases the capture rate of enemies affected by Ivy-Covered.
It fits well into Grass teams that already rely on that status effect.
Muffly
Muffly works the same way but for Freeze.
Frozen enemies become easier to capture with Muffly in your party.
Best Capture Setup
I usually take Lunaris when I’m exploring because the extra carrying weight and Sphere tracking make everyday gameplay smoother.
If I’m specifically hunting rare Pals, Yakumo is my priority. Finding matching Passive Skills saves far more time than breeding random offspring. Katress is another good recommendation since conserving Pal Spheres pays off over time.
Fishing Partner Skills
Fishing is deeper than I expected, and several Partner Skills make the minigame easier. Some improve rewards, while others boost your chances of catching talented Pals.
Jelliette
Jelliette raises the number of items you receive from fishing by 55% to 95%.
If both Jelliette and Jellroy are working at your base together, Jelliette also gains a 50% to 120% faster Watering speed.
Jellroy
Jellroy doesn’t directly improve fishing.
Instead, it increases items obtained from salvaging by 55% to 95%. Like Jelliette, it also gains a 50% to 120% Watering Speed bonus when both Pals are assigned to the same base.
Even though Jellroy isn’t technically a fishing Pal, it’s worth mentioning here since salvaging and fishing often go together.
Gloopie
Gloopie makes the fishing minigame more forgiving.
While the two bars aren’t overlapping, the capture gauge decreases 12% to 35% more slowly. This gives you extra time to recover after small mistakes.
Whalaska and Whalaska Ignis
Both versions improve the fishing minigame from the start.
The capture gauge starts 5% to 14% higher with Whalaska and 7% to 17% higher with Whalaska Ignis. While the bars overlap, capture progress also increases by the same amount.
These bonuses make longer catches feel more consistent.
Solmora
Solmora helps you find better catches instead of improving rewards.
While it’s in your party, talented Pals become easier to fish up.
Solmora Lux
Solmora Lux keeps the same fishing bonus while adding combat utility.
It changes your attacks to Electric while mounted, raises your Attack by 5% to 20%, and still makes talented Pals easier to catch.
Best Fishing Setup
For general fishing, I usually bring Jelliette because the extra rewards add up quickly over multiple sessions.
If I’m after talented Pals instead of resources, Solmora takes one of my party slots. Gloopie is another favorite since slowing the capture gauge makes tough catches less stressful, especially when timing is tight.
Unsummoned Partner Skills
Unlike most Partner Skills, these ones remain active even when the Pal is still in your party and thus provide you with additional damage, utility, or item collection without occupying one of your active combat slots.
Daedream
Instead, Daedream floats beside you and does not remain within its Sphere.
It automatically launches dark magic projectiles at enemies that are nearby, and those attacks will never reduce an enemy below 1 HP, which is why Daedream is rather useful when your aim is to capture rare Pals rather than to kill them.
Dazzi and Dazzi Noct
Dazzi and its Noct variant function in almost the same manner.
They stay close to you and launch Electric or Dark projectiles at enemies who are nearby; similar to Daedream, their attacks leave the enemies with at least 1 HP, which makes captures a lot safer.
Paladius
Paladius provides far more than just fast travel.
It is a mount that can be ridden and has a triple jump; moreover, if Necromus is in your party then activating Spear Thrust will have Necromus fight by your side.
Necromus
Necromus makes up the other half of that combo.
It includes a double jump, and when Twin Spears is activated, Paladius appears to attack alongside you.
If you enjoy playing legendary Pals together then these two have one of the coolest Partner Skill interactions in the game.
Mining and Lumbering Partner Skills
Once you begin to use the right Pals, resource farming becomes a lot faster. Several Partner Skills speed up mining or logging, while others lower the weight of the materials so that you can remain out gathering for longer.
Gumoss
The use of Gumoss results in a 30 to 50 per cent improvement in logging efficiency.
It also reduces each kind of wood by 40 to 60 per cent, so that you make fewer trips to your base.
Eikthyrdeer
Eikthyrdeer is still one of the best mounts when it comes to felling trees.
When on the mount, it carries out a double jump and boosts logging efficiency by 220% to 500%.
Rushoar
Rushoar is specialized in breaking stone.
When you are riding it, stone destruction efficiency rises by 500% to 2,000%, which allows you to clear mining areas very quickly.
Mammorest and Mammorest Cryst
Each version carries out two jobs simultaneously.
While mounted, they increase:
- Logging efficiency: 220% to 500%
- Mining efficiency: 500% to 2,000%
Mammorest is difficult to beat if you only wish to take one Pal gathering.
Digtoise
Digtoise goes into its spinning shell mode after it uses its Partner Skill.
As you spin it, the machine stays with you and boosts ore mining efficiency by 800% to 2,000%.
The large groups of ore vanish a lot more quickly when Digtoise is carrying out the work.
Astegon
Astegon is still my favorite mining Pal for late-game farming.
When mounted, it increases the damage dealt to ore by 1,100% to 3,300%, and you also get 150% to 300% more ore from each node.
There is very little in the way of gathering Partner Skills that can compare with this one.
Fuddler
Fuddler increases your own mining speed by 30 to 60 per cent.
It also cuts the weight of Stone down by 80 per cent to 100 per cent, which makes long mining trips a lot easier.
Turtacle
The entire focus of Turtacle is on Ore.
It reduces the amount of ore by 80 per cent to 100 per cent, thereby freeing up a large quantity of carrying capacity.
Turtacle Terra
The weight of Sulfur and Coal is reduced by Turtacle Terra to 80% to 100%.
It also boosts damage dealt to weak points on the ground by the same amount, which means the ability remains useful even when not being used for resource farming.
Reptyro and Reptyro Cryst
They decrease the weight of all kinds of ore.
- Reptyro: 30% to 60%
- Reptyro Cryst: 35% to 65%
They are very good companions provided that you spend most of your time mining.
Smokie
Smokie is designed for farming Chromite.
When the Partner Skill is activated, it shows the nearby Chromite deposits; meanwhile, when fighting together, Chromite acquisition increases by 100% to 200%.
Best Gathering Setup
When I’m mining ore Astegon almost never gets left behind in my party since the difference in mining speed is huge.
When I am having long farming sessions I generally add in Turtacle, Fuddler, or Reptyro in order to reduce the resource weight, since carrying more materials before going back home saves a surprising amount of time.
Other Useful Partner Skills
It is not the case that every Partner Skill can be neatly classified under either combat or gathering; instead, these Pals help with exploration, progression, and the general quality of life.
Nox
When Nox activates its Partner Skill, it is able to detect nearby Pal Effigies.
One of the simplest methods of locating missing Effigies is if you’re still working on increasing your capture power.
Mimog
Mimog opens treasure chests without using keys.
It may seem like a minor convenience, but it does save a great many keys when you’re having long exploration sessions.
Nitemary
The number of Pal Souls obtained from defeated Pals is increased from 100% to 200%.
If you’re used to regularly updating Pals, this Partner Skill will pay for itself very quickly.
Omascul
The Omascul item increases the amount of EXP obtained by each Pal in your party by 40 to 80 per cent.
It is one of the quickest methods of increasing the entire team’s level.
Dogen
You are immediately transported by Dogen to the closest base.
The skill has no effect in dungeons or in similar places, but it is very convenient when exploring the open world.
Flopie, Cave Bat, and Illuminant Bat
They have the same utility.
They float at your side and automatically gather up items in the vicinity, thus eliminating the need for you to stop every few seconds to pick up the resources manually.
Elemental Bonus Drop Partner Skills
Certain Pals cause the amount of loot dropped by defeated elemental enemies to increase.
The Partner Skills have an effect only on a particular element, but they are good options if you are farming crafting materials.
| Element | Pal |
|---|---|
| Neutral | Katress, Blazehowl Noct |
| Fire | Faleris Aqua |
| Water | Fenglope Lux |
| Electric | Menasting, Menasting Terra |
| Ground | Vaelet |
| Grass | Blazehowl |
| Ice | Faleris |
| Dragon | Cryolinx |
| Dark | Elphidran, Enchanted Sword |
The Partner Skills listed all increase the amount of items dropped by the corresponding elemental Pals by 40 to 80 percent.
Defense and Immunity Partner Skills
Certain Partner Skills are all about ensuring survivability; they reduce elemental damage, prevent status effects, or guard you against hazardous environmental conditions.
Elemental Resistance
Each of the Pals provides a reduction of damage from one element by 15 to 30 per cent and makes you immune to the status effect of that element.
| Element | Pal | Immunity |
|---|---|---|
| Neutral | Sootseer | — |
| Fire | Elphidran Aqua | Burn |
| Water | Snock Lux | Soak |
| Electric | Bulldosu | Electrify |
| Ground | Wumpo Botan | Muddy |
| Grass | Petallia Ignis | Ivy-Covered |
| Ice | Kitsun | Freeze |
| Dragon | Pierdon Cryst | — |
| Dark | Kitsun Noct | Blind |
Aegidron
Aegidron focuses on explosive damage.
As long as it is in your party, you and your friends will take 60% to 80% less damage from explosions and will become entirely immune to being stunned.
Jormuntide Ignis
Although Jormuntide Ignis is mentioned in the Fire section, its defensive bonus still deserves a separate reference.
Apart from increasing the damage dealt to Burning enemies, it also completely eliminates lava damage, which makes exploration of volcanic areas much safer.
Silvance
Silvance defends your whole party from the World Tree’s Explosive Spores as well as causing explosions against enemies that have ivy on them.
Dandilord
While defending both you and your Pals from Poison, Dandilord also causes your attacks to have the Poison effect.
It also totally eliminates the toxic gas which is present around the World Tree, thereby making the exploration of the area much less hazardous.
Final Thoughts
After testing out dozens of different party combinations, I realised that Partner Skills are just as important as combat stats.
Certain top teams do not use famous Pals. Rather, they combine a number of Partner Skills which have a synergistic effect. A basic arrangement featuring Burn, Soak, Ivy-Covered, Blind, or Freeze generally turns out to be better than including five powerful Pals in the same party with no synergy.
After you know which Partner Skills stack with one another and which support the others, it will be much easier to put together a strong team. If you try out various combinations, you’ll soon discover setups that suit your own way of playing rather than just relying on raw combat power.
