Fields of Mistria has many villagers, and each has a different set of gifts they love or like. You can build friendship with them by giving their liked and loved gifts instead of guessing every time you talk to them.
I have created this Fields of Mistria NPC Gift Guide in which you can find the birthday of every NPC along with their Loved and Liked gifts. I have also added the gift values, so you can know when the best time is to gift someone.

The amount of friendship you gain depends on the gift and the day you give it. Always gift someone’s loved items on their Birthday to build your relationship with them in no time.

Always store rare items instead of selling them immediately.
Some items are worth far more as friendship gifts. Keep at least one of these in storage:

- Golden animal products
Keep seasonal flowers.
Flowers are cheap, renewable gifts, and many villagers like them. Make sure to save a few from each season instead of selling your entire supply.
Mine with gifts in mind.
Ores and gems have extra value when you are building friendship with villagers such as Balor and March. Keep good-quality gems and ores in your gift chest.
Ranching gives you useful gifts as well as income.
Animal products are perfect gifts for Hayden and Ryis. Golden animal products are even more valuable because many villagers have them in their Loved or Liked lists.
Talk to villagers every day.
You can increase your friendship with any villager by daily conversations, even when you do not have a useful gift available.
Gift every day when possible.
Always save your strongest Loved gifts for birthdays. A normal Loved gift gives +20, while the same gift gives +40 on a birthday.
Most importantly, check before selling rare items. A gem, flower, artifact, or animal product in your storage can be one of the best gifts for a villager.
